But that’s not Kakashi at all

Kakashi for sure has extremely limited experience when it comes to sex or even romance

The man has a MOUNTAIN of intimacy issues that’s kept him from even attempting to form some kind of romantic bond with someone

In reality, he was content to be by himself thank you very much

That is, until he met you

So even though you and Kakashi have been getting closer and closer for MONTHS now, you feel like there’s actually no progress being made

You go out to eat all the time, go on walks, see a movie

But he hasn’t made any sort of move to tell you that it’s more than friendship

It leaves you wondering ‘is this even going anywhere?’

Oh, it is

Kakashi is SPRUNG with you

He just has absolutely no idea what to do about it

He reads even more of Jiraya’s books which actually gives him no good advice

Finally, with the help of Guy, he realizes it’s time to take the next step in your relationship

No he hasn’t even done that yet

It’s not that all touch is intimate to him

But having these feelings for you means the thought of holding your hand has him simultaneously on cloud nine and running for the hills

It’s so nerve wracking, but he likes you and wants you to know it

He’s trying to think of the perfect time for it when you run into him while doing errands

“Hey Kakashi. Do you want to go for a walk with me?”

Yeah, obviously he does

So the two of you walk on the outskirts of town together just making small talk

Kakashi is so nervous

He keeps trying to figure out what to do; does he just go for it?

His hands are so sweaty; thank god for his gloves

Kakashi thinks it’s obvious how nervous he is around you

He doesn’t realize how cool he plays it

You’re thinking that he doesn’t even like you like you like him

You’re feeling friend zoned hard, but you have to know for sure

Kakashi doesn’t realize he’s not even listening to you, he’s so caught up in his own thoughts

“Kakashi”

He stops when you grab his hand!

His eyes are locked on where your fingers are intertwined

His heart? Just about LEAPING from his throat

“Listen, Kakashi. I like you. But if this isn’t going anywhere, I need to move on.”

Finally he looks up at you, seeing the sad but determined look in your eyes

“Someone asked me out,” you explained to him. “I didn’t give him an answer, because I thought that we had something special. But if it’s not…”

Apparently that was the push Kakashi needed

This whole time, he’d been so worried

Wanting to do everything right

Not wanting to screw everything up

Letting his fear get the best of him

But the fear of losing you?

That was worse than anything else he could imagine

He’d already lost so many people before

Not you too

Kakashi took your hand he was holding, pulling you towards him

A small squeak left your mouth as you fell into his arms

His finger went up to your chin, tilting your head up to look at him

Pulling down his mask, he revealed the lower part of his face

Your jaw dropped because WOW

Now it was your turn to be speechless

Kakashi leaned down, pressing his lips gently to yours

He drops your hand, letting his arm creep around your waist and pressing you into him

The other hand goes to your hair as he deepens the kiss

Apparently he’s learned a thing or two in those books because DAMN

You melt easily into him

He pulls away from you too soon

“I don’t want you dating anyone else. I want you.”

Breathless and dazed, you can only nod

“I want you to be my girlfriend”

Smiling, you kiss him even more earnestly than before

Kakashi HatakexReader

Walking down the streets of Konoha was not something new for you. Surprisingly, there were not a lot of missions assigned to you recently,  and all the other jounin’s you were close to, were busy with their own squads. Allowing you to have more time for yourself. Or so you thought. Your eyes lock on one of the best duo’s you've ever known. Knowing Guy and Kakashi for so long, and them being part of ’the other jounins you were close to, your feet move towards them. 

They were arguing about who knows what, when Kakashi stopped and sensed you, making him turn to you. It didn’t take long for Guy to do the same. “Ah! (Y/N)! I have something very important to ask you” greets Guy in his loud voice. “Hello to you both” was your reply, rolling your eyes at your straight forward friend. “Are you free on Friday?” your eyebrows rose in mild shock. “Excuse me?” At this, Kakashi takes out his book and starts reading. You turn to him confused by his actions. Was Guy asking you out? As you turn your attention back to the taijutsu specialist, you cant help but wish that it was Kakashi asking you out instead. It's been years, since you’ve had those feelings. And it was slowly draining you, keeping it to yourself.  “You don’t have any missions? Or something else to do on Friday?” He asks moving closer, his eyes getting bigger, scaring you a bit, which causes you to move back. “umm...no? Why?” Guy then moves back to his original place smiling, and turning to the white haired jounin. “What about you?” 

“umm...no? Why?” Kakashi replies, his eyes not moving from the book. “Great! Cause Im not, you two go on without me. Enjoy your date!” exclaims Gai. This causes you to freeze. You and the white haired jounin look at each other before quickly looking away, your faces flushing red. “Did he just-?”
