Meet my new Sith Warrior, Kajat Tyûkjenjontû (or Kaja’tenli) - he’ll be primarily LS, when I eventually run him in-game (I’m trying to finish Zashiil, Alivar, and Garen’s stories xD).
Half-Sith and half-Twi’lek, Kajat was the accidental child of his Sith mother and her Twi’lek beloved - she was trying for, and expecting to have, a child with her husband, but wound up with Kajat instead as a result of not being careful because hybrids are so rare. He inherited his mother’s house name, however, as is Sith tradition, and she chose to raise him as part of her house, for better or worse. As a result, he spends much of his life trying desperately to prove he's worthy of what most people around him considered an undeserved honor he was granted.
(...Which of course is exactly what Baras sees and goes “Ah, that’s useful. I can manipulate someone using that” to.)
I’m not sure exactly how much raising was done by his Twi’lek father, to be honest - a fair amount, because he was Kajat’s mother’s beloved as well as her lover, but not enough that Kajat doesn't feel sharply disconnected from that half of his heritage (and tbh, he was probably the one who pulled away as he got older because he was getting bullied for his lekku and didn't want to be any more Twi'lek than he had to be). He’s significantly less invested in his Twi'lek heritage than his Sith culture, despite resembling a Twi'lek far more than a Sith pureblood, mostly because he's always been looked down on for that half of his bloodline so he kind of had hating it drilled into him too. His interactions with Vette, local Twi’lek history/culture enthusiast, are no doubt going to be fascinating.
