A Rainbowholic Parcel â„
Last January, I joined Rainbowholic/Ate Kaila's Big Blog Giveaway and the Giveaway gods have sprinkled their lucky dust on me once again.Â
My mom picked-up the parcel from our post office yesterday and I was so excited!! Anything from Japan excites me -- especially if it comes from The Rainbowholic.
Junie Moon is the fabulous shopping destination for girls in Daikanyama, Tokyo. You can find Blythe dolls, clothes, hair accessories, stationary, materials for making your own Blythe accessories, unusual toys and items from overseas. This online shopping site is to bring the Junie Moon experience to people from around the world. Explore Junie Moon from the comfort of your own home!
Junie Moon is Blythe heaven!! I'd love to visit the store when I'm in Japan already. ℠I also want my own Blythe doll. Huhu.
Cicely Margo is kawaii heaven. Their accessories give off a really Japanese-y vibe and I especially love their bow necklaces. â„Â
A Rainbowholic parcel wouldn't be complete with random Japanese stuff from the Rainbowholic herself!! â„
Sugoi Japonista Sole postcards with illustrations by Ate Chichi!!
I was surprised to see a denim one-piece dress in the box! Yay for a new dress hihi ℠And it's from Japan, come on.Â
Thank you so much to Ate Kaila, Junie Moon, and Cicely Margo for these goodies! â„â„â„
Meeting the Rainbowholic â„
After years of admiring this girl who pretty much inspired me to become who I am today in terms of my web graphics/design skills and my love for rainbows, kawaii things, and bows -- I finally met Kaila Ocampo.Â
Ate Kaila currently blogs at Rainbowholic and I "discovered" her blog a few years back in her old blog (whose blog name shall not be mentioned hahaha) . Being the young unicorn I was then, her website amazed me and I honed my Photoshop skills from her old tutorials.
During her early Rainbowholic days, I was able to befriend her and now we are sisters and we're apparently
married as well. (Sobrang lakas ng trip)
We hung out at Bonifacio High Street and we talked about a lot of things -- (her) love life, college, family, etc. At first I was actually very shy and I just kept on laughing.
It honestly felt surreal that I actually met Ate Kaila already, after all our sabaw conversations on Twitter and Facebook for more than a year.Â
Though we were only able to hang out for a few hours, I enjoyed every minute of it! :") (yieeeee) Thank you to Ate Kaila for the awesome (and sabaw) bonding!! â„â„â„ See you again soon~ :*
Some of the photos are from Ate Kaila's blog. :)
RAINBOWHOLIC Ruckus in Harajuku!Â
Japan is known for the quirkiest, weirdest, and most creative things. Rainbowholic decided to revamp their car in order to bring more color to the roads of Japan and to somewhat advertise their website as well~
I hope you guys can help my friend, Ate Kaila! She needs to reach 100,000 views in 2 weeks so her brother can buy her a toy poodle! Dogs are quite expensive in Japan because they're insured and everything is paid (medical fees and even the cremation fee when the dog finally goes to doggie heaven) already when you buy the dog.Â
It would mean a lot if you guys will watch this! It's a really cute video, actually. And I'll probably ride this car soon! *wink wink to Ate Kaila*

A Package from Rainbowholic â„
If you've seen my Rainbowholic contest post, well unfortunately I didn't win. But it's alright! The winner really deserved it. :) Anyway, Ate Kaila, the owner of the super awesome Rainbowholic website, was very kind enough to send me a gift of appreciation. :') â„
And guess what? THE PACKAGE ARRIVED ALL THE WAY FROM JAPAN TODAY!! â„
Ate Kaila told me that she sent it two days ago. Japanese EMS is amazing. @_____@Â
Inside was 5 umaibo's, Meiji White Chocolate Almond, and a super kawaii zip-lock filled with goodies! â„
Inside the zip-lock was a Rainbowholic x Little Miss Paint Brush Postcard, a Rainbowholic Shop card and a cute ichigo tegami! (Strawberry letter)Â
And.....
A SUPER CUTE RIBBON!! (Made by Ate Kaila~)
Sorry for my vanity~ ;n; The ribbon was too cute and Pudding Camera was too awesome. ;____;Â â„
Suuuuper thank you to Ate Kaila for giving me this! I really appreciate it~ ;w; Early Christmas gift, hihi! ℠You've already given me a "birthday present" and now I have a Christmas present from you, haha! I'm definitely going to make bawi. :)Â
I believe in Rainbows and Unicorns
There will always be people behind your success - and you should always be thankful for them. (Photo source)
I messaged her on Multiply October 31, 2008! haha. Please do not judge =))
Back in high school, we were asked to make web pages as projects for our computer subject. I was really excited, with my knowledge in Photoshop and my making layouts for friendster and all. The only problem I faced back then was that I did not know how to make codes outside of friendster, and after countless attempts at googling how to make a web page, I finally struck luck. I honestly don't remember who "Vicki" was (see above) but I am thankful nonetheless. It was because of her that I found Kaila of eerie-silence.net. I got amazed at how simple and cute her layout seemed, and after some clicking I discovered that she had tutorials. To make the long story short, her tutorial taught me how to create a web page from scratch using notepad. I learned about slices, div, image hosting and all those stuff from her. After stalking all her online accounts (heh) she instantly became an inspiration. And until now, I can safely say she still is. :)
Been wanting to taste those one-of-a-kind Japanese chocolates (you see on tumblr, or somewhere else similar) with the cutest packaging in the world? If youâre lucky (or âhardworkingâ) enough, you might just win this box! Just follow the simple contest mechanics and I am going to have the box shipped to you.. wherever you are in the globe. ^^ (Source)
Also, she's having a contest at the moment! You can check out her blog for more details. Thank you Kaila! You will never know how much your site helped me. God Bless and continue inspiring many! :)
