Hello!~ I usually don’t ask for matchups, but I love the way you guys write for them….! So if it’s okay, I’d like to request one..!♡
Knb!OC name is Koiri Kuragi; she/her. Her personality mostly comes through around those who know her more than surface level.
Personality type infp. Outwardly, she appears a bit cynical and awkward, but still very kind/‘people pleaser’ presence.
When she’s comfortable, she’s much more unhinged and likes to make people laugh. Empathetic to people’s concerns and open to helping those around her, as long as it’s not inconvenient for her.
She has no interest in participating in sports, but enjoys watching ones that are easy to follow, like basketball/tennis/volleyball. She often finds herself with free time and likes to watch the sports clubs from the sidelines while she does her homework. She likes to doodle on her work books when she’s too distracted.
She has some emotional baggage she chooses to keep quiet about, but would benefit from having a partner who would listen to her and validate her problematic childhood experiences. She likes feeling protected, and able to speak her mind without walking on eggshells around them.
I hope this is okay..! Thank you guys so much, I hope you all are doing well!♡
The day she met Takao, Koiri was sitting in the Shutoku gymnasium watching the regulars practice while she finished up some homework. She was seated up in the bleachers, away from the actual court and players. Being so engrossed into her studies, she didn't realize that one of the regulars had wandered up toward the bleachers to get a better bird's eye view of the court.
Takao had spotted Koiri the second he got up to the audience's seating area, but he didn't recognize her. They were of different classes, so their paths had never crossed prior to this moment.
Being the friendly type he was, he instantly tried to strike up a conversation.
"Oooh, that drawing looks like Shin-chan," Takao commented, nearly startling Koiri out of her seat. He was standing behind her, having just looked over her shoulder at the doodles she'd drawn all over her work bork.
Koiri looked down at the drawing she'd scrawled into the margins of her book: a simple scribble of a boy with glasses holding a basketball. She didn't recognize the name, but she nodded anyway. "Uh, yeah, I guess."
Takao was quick to catch on to her awkward response, though he thought it was for a different reason. "So, do you like him?"
When they first got to know each other, Takao made it his goal to try and get Koiri to crack a smile — maybe even laugh — at his antics. Due to her own playful nature, it didn't take long for Takao to eventually break through her walls and get to know the real Koiri. He fell for her from that point forward, loving how well they got along.
He loved that she often shared the same humor with him and found himself seeking her out whenever he wanted to hang out with someone like-minded. Before he knew it, it became routine for him to find her up in the bleachers during practice. He'd often be found explaining to her every move that was being made on court, never missing a single one. She was often amazed by just how much he noticed.
Of course, falling for someone meant he also noticed when things weren't exactly right with her.
"Oooh, look, he's about to do a fade," Takao said, pointing out one of his teammates to Koiri. When he looked over at her to see if she was paying attention, he noticed the way her eyes were pointed right at the court, yet they seemed so far away. Like she was lost in thought. It wasn't like the Koiri he knew. Takao poked at her side, getting her full attention when she turned to look at him. "Hey, you okay?"
The question caught Koiri off guard and she wound up giving away a little of her actual feelings when she glanced away for just a second. Takao was always so observant, it was only a matter of time before he'd noticed something was off.
When he reached out a hand to turn her head toward his again, his eyes looked serious. "You can tell me, you know. I'll listen. And not just because I like you."
What a Relationship with Him is Like
Despite Takao promising to listen, it actually takes him a bit to comprehend the deeper and darker feelings Koiri has. That doesn't stop him from trying however as he tries to become that solid foundation she can lean on from time to time.
A relationship between Takao and Koiri matures them both in the best of ways. It allows Takao to grow as an individual in the sense that he learns to deal with the uglier sides of life when helping a loved one. It allows Koiri to grow as well as she learns to relinquish trust to those who truly care.
Their playful nature never really leaves either of them, but all in all, a relationship between the two allows them both to flourish.
"Hey, come here for a second," Takao requests, holding an arm out for Koiri to nestle herself under. Once she's in place, Takao wraps his arm around her and squeezes her tightly to his side. It's a comforting gesture. One that has Koiri instantly sighing with content.
Until Takao's fingers begin dancing along her sides in a ticklish attack. "K-Kazunari, stop!"
"Can't hear you!" Takao teases, holding even tighter onto Koiri while he continued his onslaught. It brought bubbling laughter and mirthful tears to both of them as she tried to pry herself away. In turn, Takao only squeezed her tighter and closer. "Can't get away from me now. I'm never letting go!"
