Swirling a bare finger into the bowl of sweetness he held against his chest with his other arm, he leaned back against his counter top and stuck the treat out for Kagami to taste, just as the other one entered the kitchen. "Tell me what you think, hm?"

"Happy New Year, love."

(I am late! But I'll make it worth the wait!)

It was more of a small little celebration they both had going on, far out from the big fuss that was happening in the village. Just staying in their own house that sat more in the quieter place, near the outer wall. Yet they still had a nice view on the fireworks from far away.

Kagami actually preferred it like that, the loud noises often made him flinch, turning away from the colorful paintings that were plastered across the sky. Onyx eyes were lit up with the distant hues of blue, red and yellows when Ibiki grabbed his collar. This wasn't something that was met with surprise, but rather an anticipating smile, a smile that sparkled as their gates met and Kagami himself held onto Ibiki by putting his hands onto that broad chest.

The kiss was gentle and full of the love they held for each other. A moment saved deep within the Uchihas heart to be cherished until his very last breath.

For a short moment there was surprise on his features. Up until this very moment he had just beein leaning back and reading a book, using this afternoon of freetime to unwind and forget about work and the things he was tasked to do.

Yet, this afternoon only got better when his lover draped himself over his lap like that, the weight of muscles grounding him like nothing else. Fond eyes looked down at him before he put the book aside so his fingertips could lovingly trace the jawline, the lips, the curve of his lvoer's nose, right across the arch of his eyebrows before he let his knuckles stroke down along the cheek. A smile tugged at pale lips before he leaned down to place a long, loving kiss on his temple.
