Hashirama noticed that Kagami was slipping in and out of consciousness. That scared him. Kagami was somewhere between and as a Senju warrior, he saw many people fade fast in such a bad state.
He needed to keep him awake. So he started to talk. "Danzo came into my office… and he told me that bad people from his clan kidnapped you. He saved you," he spoke softly, thoigh somewhat loud, so Kagami would hear him. His voice echoed through the dark, damp chamber as if it were a bell.
Healing wasn't something Hashirama did often. He was avoiding it when he could. It felt too personal, it felt like his chakra was prying into someone else, while simultaneously healing them.
"He's your friend, right? Shimura Danzo. He's a good friend. He will be happy when he sees you. Keep such friends close," he continued talking.
He placed his palms gently on Kagami's abdomen, like he was afraid he would cause more pain, more damage, but his fingers still brushed over the bloody wounds.
The blue glow of his healing chakra pervasively seeped through through the pores and into Kagami's body, spreading with warm insistence. It found Kagami's pulse and diffused into it like a red wine spilling into a river, stimulating cells to divide, repairing the damaged tissue. It wove through the bloodstream, into his chest, his neck, into his fingertips, into every corner of his body, sending ripples around each wound Kagami suffered. The torn flesh began to seal itself, in synchrony with Hashirama's nourishing chakra.
As the chakra permeated the synapses, triggering the body's natural regeneration, he continued speaking.
"You know, Tobirama talks about you a lot, more than he realizes. He says you are a kind person. He doesn't even say that about me. He will get angry if I lose you," he said as the minutes passed by.
"He told me he doesn't know how to lose anyone else. Not after our brothers. Not after the clan. He said he wouldn't survive it. He still blames himself for the death of our brothers," he said, a little quieter, but still loud enough.
