what is one thing (a concept, a genre, an outfit, etc.) you would least like your company make you do? 

we’ve already done it but the cute concept. it’s something that i didn’t agree with very much. or at all really. in more recent years, some groups have come out that can do cute a little more tastefully. still, it’s not something i want to do or wanted to do. 

what one thing (concepts, genres, styling, frequency of comebacks, etc.) would you like to change about your current career as an idol?

right now, i think i’d maybe give us more comebacks? i’m pretty impressed that they’ve kept up with to so far. the biggest thing would be having a more consistent concept. yeah, i hate cute but if cute can build us a fandom, then we have to do it and i’ll just complain about it later. right now, we’re switching between cute and sexy and i’d just like us to stick with something and i’m sure the fans would like it as well. 

if you could be in any idol group, which one would you choose?

ah! this is a bit of a harder option, i think i’d like to be in lucid...the most. they have a really fun concept overall. being able to switch between light and dark and it’s more interesting music as well. i do lean more towards their rock sound but the ‘lighter’ lucid sound isn’t too bad and it’s done well. 

if you could say one thing to your ceo, what would it be?

well, to the previous ceo, i’d say that it was a good idea to let his son take over. i won’t say the company is the best but there had been improvements with a change in hands and it’s pretty noticeable if you ask me. and to say our current ceo, i’d say thanks? i guess for being competent. 

if you were auditioning for your company today, what would you perform for your audition, or what would you change from your original audition?

her image is pretty clear cut within the fandom. they know who she is and what she likes, that she can be up front and she does put a distance between herself and her fans. the public see's a hard-working idol holding on despite having a struggling group. and for the most part, they are correct. she does put fans at a safe distance and she can come off cold but as respectful as she is, most fans don't realize she's like ice behind the scenes. she doesn't mentor trainees and juniors as much as they might think. while the public on the other hand ( and her fans to some extent. ) believe that kami is 100& devoted to gal.actic. that is true to a point. if it came down between having a solo career or just promoting in the group, she'd chose her solo career. she plays up her attachment to her group a lot and she makes sure to do it when promoting solo. it helps to make it seem like she loves being in the group first and her solo work is simply on the side. she's sure that if that ever got out, it'd hurt her image with fans and the public so she keeps it under wraps.

in her time as an idol, kami hasn't really had an horrible experiences with fans. a mean comment here or there but she understands those aren't really fans. the scariest thing though, are fans turned anti fans. ( sometimes, it was a blessing to be in a nugu group. ) she had had an experience once, an interaction with a fan that left her feeling uncomfortable. mainly because she couldn't really respond how she wanted, being an idol and all. ( and it was more of a rant towards her, she didn't say anything during it. ) it was one night after practice, during their drastic concept change and a little after their dance practice was uploaded. she was about to check out at a shop when someone asked if she was a member of gal.actic. once that was confirmed, they went into a rant about the concept change and how they didn't like it. they also didn't enjoy her attitude towards the concept change. ( she was vocal enjoying it. ) then it turned into a slightly personal attack on her character. at that point she left without buying anything at all. her only saving grace seemed to be that the clerk stopped the fan ( ex-fan.) from following her out of the store.

she's always a had a good connection with her fans. she learned early on that fan support was the number one thing. even if they couldn't grab the public as long as they had fans were willing to spend money. that meant she had to treat her fans very well and they paid her in kind. sure, she's not breaking records but she can see the support and that's what matters. one memorable fan had been one she met during one the fan meets she had while under contract with stylenanda. kami remembered seeing the fan up close during the meet but she didn't talk much, blushed during the entire thing. it wasn't until after the fan-meet, when kami was leaving with her manager that came saw the fan waiting. the girl was still blushing heavily and she gave kami four prints, her own art work that she featured on her art instagram. the fan had re-created them as paintings and had been lacquered over. there was a card and before kami could really say anything, the girl had run off after bowing. honestly, it was just a cute interaction and she read the card once she got into the car. it was sweet message and the prints are hanging up at her parents home.

social media, kami makes pretty good use of it. once she realized just how much it could help build a following, she started to invest in a little more. right now, she doesn't use twitter much but there has been some push from her manager to do it. it'd be a good way to connect with western fans ( a market she very much wants to tap into. possibly, the only one open to her. ) but she uses instagram and youtube way more. she's very active on her youtube account, even if she doesn't upload. kami will take the time out to reply to comments, even on her older videos. it's a great way to connect with fans and she remembers to keep using it, it's another way to build a following and attract people that might normally be interested in her. instagram is something she uses a lot, replying to fan comments or posting pictures or simply liking content that fans post. to the point where she can point out a few user names of fans she's seen that always reply to her. she also uses her instagram as a way to tease fans when it comes to her solo works or anything that she might have planned.

kami was pretty unprepared for her audition for dimensions. in previous ones, she had given herself a chance to really get to work and practice. after the failure of her group, she honestly swore off idol life for a while. at that point, she had truly given up. it was by chance that she was passing the company and took the risk of going inside. it was impulsive ( and it sort of paid off. ), it was her luck that they were holding auditions and the sign up process was pretty quick. in just a few minutes, she was waiting to start her audition with almost nothing on her but her cellphone and nothing prepared. somehow she managed to not talk herself out of auditioning and settled on doing somethings she already had down. seeing as she hadn't given up dancing all the way, it wasn't hard for her to get back into a proper mindset. during her audition all bases were covered, they had her sing and rap and dance. after dancing to track she had on her phone, they asked her to do some free-styling. ( and lucky, she was quick on her feet. ) to her it wasn't one of her best auditions but hey, it got her into the company.

what she loves most about being an idol? is getting paid to perform. ( yes, even if it seems a little material. ) just because if she wasn't an idol, there wouldn't be anything stopping her from busking if she loved to perform that much. becoming an idol was not really the end-all when it came to that but it's better when you can make money doing. more than being an idol, kami has always wanted to be a performer. hence joining a few dance clubs and doing busking events when she was in high school. and as much as she wants to do it, it could only be a hobby if she wasn't making any money off it. that's where being an idol comes into play, she's able to get ( somewhat. ) the best of both worlds. there's the chance to go oversea's, work with various celebrities, hold concerts and touring. sure, it's nice if she gets to travel oversea's and perform or she could attended a huge event. but more than that, kami just enjoys the fact that she has music show promotions or being able to hold concerts and just be stage. that's really the glitz and glamour for her.

there are a few performances in kami's life that could be highlighted. some of the most memorable being both her debut stages while in her previous and current group and her solo debut stage. ( though she's pretty sure her concert would blow those out of the water. ) she's a high energy performer and has a lot of energy for the stage. so, when it comes to performances that are a little slower or restrained kami can get a little bummed. not that there is a problem with that style but she likes to keep things moving. most of her chosen solo tracks include a lot of dancing and even her b-side's tend to be upbeat. it feels good to really move and use the stage around her so kami likes the music to reflect that. it's also a reason why she likes to perform her solo song's a little more. while gal.actic does have a few tracks that allow her to go out how she wants, it's not really possible to break out and do her thing. on the other hand when it comes to her solo music, she can be a lot more flexible when performing, it's just her, the dancers and the stage.

she was always focused as a trainee. yeah, some people took it serious but not as serious as her. the second time around, it was way worse. since it felt like a life or death chance of her debuting, she felt like she needed to be completely focused. not many people knew about her previous debut so that wasn't really much of a problem. kami was aware of strengths and focused that. honestly, as a trainee there wasn't anything wrong with her when it came to practice. but she didn't have many friends as a trainee, honestly none at all. at some point, she realized that she came off as super cold. it wasn't meant to happen at first but it was easy for people to tell that she wasn't someone that could be approached. shed didn't make time to chat after practice or hang around longer than needed. even when it came to personal training time, she enjoyed going when no one was around. she didn't have a horrible time training period, it was just that it didn't really amount to anything personal for her. looking back as an idol, it was a just blur of doing the same thing everyday until she could finally debut.

when it comes to non-performance talent, kami is proud to say she has one. art. it might not be the biggest talent but she's a pretty good artist and her fall back plan has always been to be a web-artist. she started off the traditional way, before she quickly switched to a digital medium. ( at one point she tried painting but it didn't really mesh with her. )  at this point in her life, she's not sure if she'd want to make her art a career, it's also been a way for her to relax. mainly, she likes to create scenery and fantasy landscapes. ( via, photo-shopping and other editing skills. ) that being said, she also enjoys making portraits of people. for that, she tends to go back to her normal sketch pad and possibly color it later. kami would say she's a pretty talented artist but most people don't know about it. most fans do know and often comments on it, a lucky few know of her artist instagram account thought kami has never publicly commented on it. if they know, then they know and she's happy leaving it that way. her art is random and as of now, she feels like she hasn't really gotten back into making something big and elaborate.
