Pierre Poilievre Blames Election Loss on âJustinflationâ
OTTAWA, CANADA - In the wake of a surprise upset victory against Liberal opposition leader Mark Carney, Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre has gone on to blame his election loss on former Prime Minister Justin Trudeauâs economic policies, which he has dubbed âJustinflation,â despite the fact that Trudeau wasnât even in office during the election.
âThe fact of the matter is that Justin Trudeauâs liberal economic policies are still hurting every day Canadians even with him out of office,â Poilievre said during his concession speech. âThe price of groceries have skyrocketed, the housing market has become unattainable for most Canadians, my number of seats were way smaller than they should have been, and itâs all because of Trudeauâs radicalist policies. If Trudeau didnât put us in this âJustinflation,â then we wouldnât be in this predicament.â
Poilievre, who lost his own seat in the election, put all the blame on his loss on Trudeauâs policies rather than his own. âI should have kept my seat and won the whole election,â Poilievre said. âBut when youâre living under Justinflation, bad things can happen.â
Poilievre would warn Canadians that under Carney, Justinflation would only worsen. âMark Carney is also a Liberal, so heâs basically Justin Trudeau Part 2,â Poilievre said. âThis means that Justinflation will continue under his administration, and itâll only worsen until this entire country devolves into total anarchy, and does anyone want that? Just donât say that I didnât warn you.â
At publishing time, Poilievre tried to make his way off stage before slipping on a banana left by a liberal who snuck inside the rally, to which Poilievre would shout, âDamn you, Justinflation!â
