If there was anything that could make Shuichi’s night, even if it might’ve been a stressful day at work: it was seeing his baby daughter- Himari -practically light up when he came to his aunt’s house to pick her up, since Yuki would babysit the times that she could.

“Theeere’s my daughter!” When she started rapidly crawling over to him, making her happy little babbles of baby gibberish, Shuichi kneels down, holding his hands out as he excitedly gestures her to come here.

Once she was close enough, he picks her up and stands back up, giving her cheeks a kiss. “Did you miss me? I missed you, too! You made sure to be a good girl for Aunt Yuki?” Which only gets him more happy gibberish in response, laughing. “I’ll take that as a yes. Alright, Himari: time to go home, okay? Say ‘bye bye’ to Aunt Yuki.”

“Yes.”

“--So you see, we came ‘pon a smaller island by boat, full of attractions. They were a bit odd, with animals doin’ tricks and such...” Before he’d realized it, he was on a tangent about his trip. Travelling was done too often, far too much that sometimes his friends couldn’t contact him at all -- but he was finally back home, sharing a morning coffee with the other.

Not just one dessert, nor two— many desserts are laid out in front of them. There’s a wide variety, from macarons to cake. Hopefully the expenses wouldn’t be… too costly. Although she still has her reservations about their decision, everything on the menu had looked too nice… which, naturally, had resulted in them ordering as much as they could possibly eat. They’d certainly have to share this, or they’d never finish eating it all.

Fiddling with her hair as the desserts are brought out and placed in front of them, Harukawa picks up a spoon and begins their inevitable joint descent into a food coma by making a start on the banana split.

It’s strange. This is her first time going somewhere and doing something like this with someone… with a friend. They’d even been given a free milkshake with two straws as a thanks for their order. Ugh… how embarrassing. And yet…

“…It’s nice.”

… The outside world was refreshing. Even today, when the air was stifled hot with the heat of summer, Amami couldn’t complain; especially not when he was walking along the river with someone close, seeing new sights, new scenery. People were far and few in between, in the evening. But there were still a handful, taking strolls. 

The wind carried the coolness of the river, and teased at his bangs– Amami smiles, then turns his head to the girl beside him. This was a welcome change, from the sterile air he’d gotten so used to, been forced to endure. It was odd, how quickly people adapted. 

To the good, and the bad.

“Haha, More than a little warm, yeah? Didn’t mean to drag you out here, but…”

A soft smile, a little abashed. He doesn’t say the next words, shaking his head. It’s a little selfish of a thought, really. He should have thought this through.

“The evening’s nice, isn’t it?”

- Shuichi would love to learn how to make different recipes!! Because a lot of foods can have medical benefits and stuff, similar to an RPG game ! I like to imagine he has a small section in a journal for different recipes he’s learned about along the way on his adventures and stuff. And when he’s around an area or place with a pot to cook the things in; he’ll try creating new recipes ~

- Since he’s visited so many different lands: Shuichi’s met and befriended of many varieties! Think of like… Zoras, Gorans, Gerudo, etc. from Zelda and stuff. He always tries to be very polite and respectful when visiting a domain ruled by non-humans, especially if they may normally not be that trustful towards humans, you know? He loves to befriend literally all different kinds of people, as it can make for memorable experiences and interesting stories to tell about!

- Forests and lakes are some of Shuichi’s favorite kind of scenery and areas to explore through. Sometimes just likes… to slowly walk through a forest with his horse, Mea, or relaxing by a spring with her! Relaxing places like that can help him unwind, especially if he’s tuckered out from any fights he had to do along the way.

- Shuichi is far more selfless as an archer, who would even take a big hit for a stranger. Not that he doesn’t care to look out for himself, but Shuichi is very much more of a protector and many times, has done so. This especially applies for Mea: he’d never want to let her get hurt if he can prevent it, and will not be above piercing you with arrows if you ever try hurting his horse.

- Outfit wiseee, he’d wear a white tunic shirt over a long-sleeved green shirt, with a short green hooded cape he primarily uses to shield his head from certain weather like the rain, a belt around his waist, brown tunic pants and boots, and ofc other things like his bow and arrows, pouches to carry stuff, yada yada. It’s pretty much what most other males from his village wear, save for the extra stuff.
