Often I'll accompany a photo with a quote from Julian or Noel...but that seems redundant here. The photo says everything, doesn't it? It was taken backstage at the Secret Policeman's Ball, October 14, 2006, by photographer Alan Davidson.
Julian and Noel were the final act of the show before the closing musical number - an honour, but perhaps a little scary as well. This wasn't a posed photo. Davidson saw this moment happening, and captured it.

the way noel looks at julian is genuinely so soft and full of love it upsets me

or...
Interview: So, your shows are pretty wild; what do you do to wind down? Julian: Go back to the tour bus, sleep, drink tea... Interviewer: Haha- Julian: Make love together. Interviewer:... Julian: ...
