Monk had been prowling these streets for months, eating whatever he could find and catch... He wasnāt a picky eater as most peoples leftovers or even rats were good enough for him. Thanks to the huge crimewaves and large gang activity in the city, people rarely went out to check who was going through their garbage too, making this city a safe haven for a freak of nature such as Monk.
It was because of his knowledge of the area (And keen nose) that he found this veeery suspicious place... An old building, clearly long since abandoned with one of the inner rooms full of stuff. He didnāt know what half of this stuff was, but it all smelled dangerous.
Or, well, perhaps not ALL of it! Monks face lip up in a smile as he found a loaf of bread and some apples, which he was quick to stash in his pockets as he continued to look for more. Only then his long white furred ear turned to the door, hearing steps. As the door opened, Monk jumped, hissed as loud as he could and proceeded to run around in circles, knocking things over and panicking as he realized the room had no windows to speak of! Finally he ended up hiding under the bed like child... He DID resemble a child, given his small size, but the ears, the horns, the line of fur following his spine... Hell, the tail?? Most assumed he was a demon or a mutant, but the tag one the side of his neck screamed illegal military experiments.
So there he was... Shaking and hissing under the bed like a frightened cat. Which given how much animal dna was mixed in him wasnāt as far off the mark as one would think.
