This is kind of a late response (fuck med school and its exams), but I'll try explaining this as best as I can.
I don't like that entire sentence you started with, but I especially hate two terms in it (when put together):
Wait for the 3d to change.
"Wait to change" Ugh, IT IRKS ME, I'll tell you why
Something I've realized in my own shifting journey (which btw is long and filled with step backs, frustration, and so much helplessness even though i have fully shifted when i was literally just a 6 year old, unintentionally and with 0 knowledge about shifting) is that the more I gave myself power, the more I deemed everything and everyone but myself as insignificant, the easier it was for me to be aware of the version of myself in my dr, and i think it all ties back to that first shift, i had literally no intention to change or wait, hell i didn't know shifting existed in the first place, i just had a bad day and i wanted to go play outside, but it was friday and my mom would've never gave me the permission to, i don't even remember closing my eyes, or waiting until night time or until i nap, or doing a 12 steps method in a sickening order, which is all fine, shifting is supposed to be fun, do the things that make it like that, but do not over complicate it and force stuff you don't feel like doing, I decided I wanted to play outside, so I played outside.
Did I switch realities to do it?, yes, but did i focus on the act of shifting and all of those foreign ideas and beliefs i have now? No, but younger me would've thought we're cool for this.
I just wanted to play outside, so I did.
Did I wait to change ? No
Did I give a shit when the 3D told me I wasn't gonna play outside ? No
Does any of it matter when you have yourself, your ultimate intention of getting there at a point in time? No, it all revolves around you, time doesn't matter (even if it's highly frustrating, but focusing on the time you spent "getting" somewhere, or counting your "failed" attempts is truly the worst thing you could do to yourself, frustration is fine, but draw the line on self criticism, you're doing nothing wrong, yes time doesn't matter, yes everything outside you is 100% insignificant and pointless, but that doesn't mean you're doing it the wrong way and that's why you're not shifting, believe me I've tried everything in the damn book for the longest time, didn't shift, when I finally said fuck it I'm letting go, I did, multiple times.)
Letting go doesn't mean discrediting your circumstances or the way you're feeling about your shifting journey, letting go means the utter belief that if you decide it, then it's already done, so why bother with the little glitches the 3d is showing you here and there ?
I call them glitches because they're not real, it's only my perception of things
If I only focused on how it sucked staying here, and how I need to immediately get tf out (which hey is completely valid, but don't let it drag you into a rabbit hole, don't let it dictate how your shifting journey should go, at the end of the day, they do not matter)
Because everything you deem as law might be a distant memory in another reality, so nothing truly means anything unless you give it the power to.
So don't, the only person you should give that kind of power to is yourself.
Yes nothing can stop you, unless you give it the power to, it's okay to feel like shit about everything, it's okay to want to immediately leave, but do not let it mean anything, discredit the outcome of it, not the way you're feeling, use your feelings to guide you further to knowing the what works and why it works <3 because if you already have it, why would you focus on the lack of it ?
And about my first shift :
This was in 2012 lol no tik tok could've ever prepared me for what ive experienced, I did it once and then i couldn't do it again, i knew it was real but i couldn't reach it, no matter how hard I've tried, (yet i shifted, became aware and grounded myself in my dr, stayed for an afternoon then shifted back as if nothing ever happened, at 6 YEARS OLD (I already put the storytime on tik tok but ill make a blog here detailing and analysing that phase of my journey, if it resonated with at least one person then I'm happy), but older me couldn't even make it pass the lucid dreams, how freaking ironic), i was so damn done with everything, i gave up hundreds of times instead of one, so if anyone knows how you feel it's me) but guess what ?i still shifted, anyone saying you need a perfect crystal clear mindset or else you won't succeed? Bullshit.
You will succeed, time, shitty circumstances, half ass attempts, and waking up to your cr every single time = 0 meaning.
Translating the words 'just shift', so that they actually mean something useful:
♧ Don't think of shifting as of something that's 'going to happen one day'. Treat every attempt not as an 'attempt', but as if you were casually going to shift for certain. It doesn't matter if you fail; you're training your mind to see shifting as something that's in the present, not 'one day'.
♧ Stop scrolling. You're not 'manifesting', you're trying to justify procrastination.
♧ Never, ever pay any real money for 'shifting advice'. This is non-negotiatable.
♧ No matter how many 'muh assumptions!!' you read, learning is a process, not a jump from A to B. There's nothing wrong with that.
Now, just shift, or try, or take a break. As long as you're trying.

Perhaps you’re needing a bit of a cleanse. Green tea can help with that! Also aids in manifestation. When you drink your cup tell it in your head your desires and what you wish.
Chamomile: a favorite of mine. It’s a calming herb so it can aid with sleep, anxiety and stress. Also, it’s an anti-inflammatory and can aid with digestion. For spiritual purposes it’s fantastic for inner peace, protection and dream work. It can also soften your energy which can be very beneficial when reality shifting.
Peppermint: perfect for those who get nausea and bloating or any other digestive issues. It has a cooling and refreshing taste which is also good for congestion if you’re loaded with cold. Also can uplift your mood. For spirituality it can banish negative energies, sharpen your focus. A fantastic herb to drink while you’re scripting or doing an activity that requires focus.
Mugwort: my all time favourite. It’s a bitter herb so it’s best to use sparingly and to mix with other herbs (chamomile is a good one to use). It’s traditionally used for those who menstruate if you’re having discomfort and it can also better your circulation. As for dream work it is THE dream herb. Very good for lucid dreaming, shifting, astral travel also a good one to use if you’re doing divination as it can stimulate your third eye. A powerful ally to have. You can order big bags of it on amazon or even find it very easily in the wild as it’s a weed! Just be careful to make sure it hasn’t been sprayed with weed killer.
