Our trip to the Philippines back in 2010 was the first one since migrating to Australia. I felt that I was going home at that time.
This 2015 trip was different. I actually felt that I was going on a holiday and that ‘home’ for me was in Brisbane. I guess it ‘only’ took 8 years for me to finally settle in.
Spending time with my family and my wife’s family something I will always cherish, and seeing my parents shower my son with kisses is one of the best memories I will take from this trip.
