Karina is a particularly powerful sensorial kunoichi, so much so that she even enhances others' own chakra sensing skills. Because of that trait she's never been properly trained to do anything much other than that.
She's used to create protection shields when escorting or guarding nobles, precious items and such, because Karina can identify every chakra signature in a 300m radius so no one can approach without her noticing.
The devices on her wrists are meant to keep her subdued (like chains for an expensive pet), it keeps her emotions in check, and react to her chakra so that she doesn't unlock powers her superiors don't know how to control (I just haven't decided what powers, probably something similar to mind control, ironically).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE PARENTS AU! I especially love the Junkomikan content. I like to imagine that they sometimes forget that they aren't married (or even really dating) and do couple stuff (morning kisses, petnames, saying "goodbye, love ya!" before leaving for work) like it's super normal. And then they realize what they just did and end up in this awkward situation where both of them try to pretend it didn't happen.
Junko mostly allows herself to show affection for Mikan when there is no one watching.
Inuzuka Romi -> Mimi. She's a lady, contrasting with her partner's rowdy personality, calm and protective of both Tabata and Toshiro (Romi's Hyuuga husband). Mimi actually helps the clan's vet clinic on her own, whenever Romi's stuck on paperwork duty, which happens more often once Tabata returns to the clan.
Tabata -> Bibi. She and Tabata have always been together, both being daughters of Romi and Mimi, respectivelly. Bibi is more energetic than her mom, and doesn't hide her distaste for certain people, unlike what Tabata's been taught to do. They had some tough times apart when Tabata was under Hyuuga custody.
Inuzuka Apollo, current clan head -> Nero & Mr. Juba (short for Jujuba/jelly beans). Nero is very serious and intimidating and Apollo had to prove himself time and time again to win his trust, meanwhile Mr. Juba, the older of the two, would always encourage him, and doesn't fight, he's more comfortable taking care of the clan children.
Apollo and Allegra's son, Aries -> Daisy. As the son of the clan head, Aries also had to prove himself in skill, intelligence, diplomacy, he trained with Nero and other dogs without partners to strengthen clan bonds. Unlike all other Inuzukas, Aries only got Daisy once he became a chunin.
Inuzuka Zia -> Melon. A chill dog, acts like an old soul and never tries to stop his partner's temper and impulses, they are so close and connected, Melon can communicate with Zia's loved ones as if he was their own partner.
Zia's son, Vasco -> Berry. The two did not get along when they first met. Berry was chosen by Melon so they had to work their differences (but the old dog knew what he was doing). Berry is very stubborn and will ofter make his own plans of attack, he won't eat anything Vasco picks and won't let him eat if he knows his moms didn't allow it.

So Petal Lee married Hyuuga Jumpei (not pictured) and had the twins Remei and Yan...
Yan Li was born with their father's Hyuuga eyes, but Remei Li was the spitting image of their mother. So Petal promptly gave Yan away to be taken care and trained by the Hyuuga clan, while she kept Remei and trained her mercilessly to be a worthy warrior despite her lack of clan skills.
Yan grew up with rarely ever having met his mother and believed she loved Remei more than him to keep her around.
That was until Remei did awake the Byakugan and Petal sent her to the Hyuuga clan just like she had Yan Li. Remei still believed Petal's actions and choices were for their own good, but Yan soon understood that she had never loved either of them as her own children, only as future warriors to be trained.
Years later, Jumpei is no longer in the picture - divorced or deceased- and Petal marries Tsuru, a younger jounin and they have young Kanna. Seeing as neither of the parents is from a big name clan, Kanna is not as pressured as her siblings to be trained. Petal is rarely around, just like she was with the twins, and the two make sure to give the girl all the attention and love they felt their mother was incapable of giving.
Remei mostly ignores the strain in their relationship, Yan resents their mother not just for failing them, but also as a person in his opinion. Tsuru, although a little young to be the twins father, does his best to treat them as if they were related.
And the rebels! I still have to pick an official name for them as a group, but they left Konoha to start their own team/society of shinobi who still want to help the people and fight injustices, but do not agree with the villages systems and the kages.
Originally inspired by the "lone wolf" Hatake Tara, the three of them were joined by other small groups of shinobi from different lands and build a sort of guild. Nia from Suna is one of those, Nanako and Dei from Iwa also visit and work with them from time to time.
Coral is their unspoken leader, the people from other lands each have their own leader figure, so they can mediate business. Coral is quiet and observant, she is very good at seeing all sides of any situation and thinking of solutions. Jason is curious and easygoing, he's usually the one to welcome new people and introduce the members, the most communicative. Asuka is the big sister, the one to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe, she's also the most fierce in battle.
Their dogs are all a team, each pair that matches up for missions and fights have different dynamics and attack styles.
Aki was Coral's original partner when they left Konoha, he can speak to humans, he's very friendly, so much so that he managed to team up and work with Jason and Asuka as naturally as he did with Coral, and started their whole dynamic.
Ash is very shy, Tara found her as a puppy and took to the Inuzukas, Jason and Aki took interest in her and helped her slowly overcome her fears. She doesn't usually fight, but Coral has managed to develop some powerful team ups with her.
Arian, Asuka's original partner, has the perfect match to her personality - strong willed, outspoken and caring for her close friends. Despite her tiny stature, she can be quite bossy and is the leader of the ninken team.
Amber is Jason's original partner, he's a very energetic one, always ready to go on patrols, join the girls on missions, train with Jason, you name it. Just like Jason, Amber's the first choice when in need of sending messages, in his case though, also because he's fast.
Alba joined the group after they left Konoha, not much is known about her before that, but she's kind and has a good sense of humor. Alba is their first line of combat, she will assist any member of their team. (She can also speak in human language, but no one's ever heard her talk).
Name chosen by an unknow friend in a call with my sister, that somehow perfectly matched with the character!
Berto is just some guy from a no name clan, who learned how to work with seals and summons, and just went nuts with that. Basically all of his skills and powers come from different seals he's tattooed to his body. He even found a way to give himself a sharingan. He can summon weapons from his body, teleport, steal people's chakra, steal people's attacks (not kekkei genkais), he even has summon contracts (I just need to decide on an animal for him).
His sharingan doesn't drain his chakra like Kakashi's, and even if he did get low on his reserves he can charge back by taking some from his opponents (and even willing allies).
