KENJI, samu, suna and aran knowing i like atsumu and always dropping hints but atsumu is a fucking dumbass

tsumu going on a date and i have to watch kenji knowing atsumu this was super last minute, as per usual when he asks me to watch kenjii was fully ready to watch a romcom and cry but here’s atsumu ready to ruin my plans 🙄

he knocks on my door incessantly, like jfc i thought my door was gonna fall down

“alright alright im COMING”

i swing the door open and atsumu looks…good like really good

he cleans up very well he literally pushes kenji into my appt and he speaks really fast “iknowthisissuperlastminutebutcanyoupleasewatchkenji”

“slow down…care to explain why youre dropping him off on a random saturday.”

“i-“

“he has a date”

kenji said it so bluntly he didnt even look up from his phone, atsumu gives me a pleading look and i give in

“ugh fine i didnt have any plans tonight anyway”

kenji just strolls in like its his own appt? smh

in typical atsumu fashion he goes, “i literally owe you my life thank you so much”

i roll my eyes at him bc its honestly not that big of deal but yk atsumu and his theatrics he blows a kiss to kenji and speeds out the door i shut the door behind him and ask kenji if he’s hungry, and he is

“pizza?”

“always.”

he’s forced to watch a romcom bc that what i was gonna watch anyway and he pretends to complain but he likes it 🙄and we’re in the middle of the movie and he suddenly just blurts

“i dont like her”

“what, her who..”

“his date or new girlfriend i dunno i just dont like her”

and i laugh a little “dude you dont even know her”

“you dont have to know a person to not like them”

“fair but isn’t this his first date with her?”

“no it’s like their fifth date” and he scoffs like he cant fathom the idea of him wanting to spend more time with her my face falters for a second (A SPLIT A MILLISECOND IF YOU WILL) and i go “fifth?”

“yeah i cant believe it either you know-"

and i know he’s gonna end up rambling on for a while (just like his father 🙄) so i kinda zone out like his fifth date and he didn’t say a thing? we’re friends at least and he’s just NOT GONNA SAY ANYTHING? and i must’ve made a face bc kenji looks and me and just quirks a brow and i shit u not its like that spongebob audio when squidward is like “no no its not what you think LISTEN TO MEEE SPONGEBOB” and that little turd just like his uncle i stg and he smiles wider than i've ever seen.

“you like my dad don’t you”

“kenji i stg if you say a single word im not above fighting a child”

“ im not a child. i’m almost 13 you know and-"

“yeah yeah whatever but do NOT say a thing” and i put out my pinky bc he’s a kid they have to pinky promise it’s like law

“i’m not 5 🤨”  and i look at him and he pinky promises anyway bc duh i told you its the LAW

fast forward 11 years i moved into the same appt complex as them and i work near osamu’s onigiri shop so i go in there often

kenji and i get on the same bus to go to school/work and i met him there kenji is not into sports like at all, HE WANTS TO DRAW he wants to be a mangaka. i saw him drawing on the bus one day and i was like “oh that’s a really good drawing!” yk me encouraging the youth

kenji starts explaining his whole story idea to me, he talks a lot (just like his dad) anyways its actually really interesting??? he’s a really good storyteller anyways he ends up getting so into it he almost missed his stop he ends up getting out and then i get out the next stop it ends up becoming kind of a routine and we end up having a sort of friendship one day i get on the bus early and kenji is on his way home from school and i realize we live in the same complex and we’re only a few doors down from one another

one day he knocks at my door and he’s like, “my dad’s not gonna be home for a while and i dont wanna be there alone.”

“kid we talk on the bus sometimes but i don't-"

“it’s kenji.”

“kenji i-"

this mf already made his way into my appt i cant kick him out??? so he kinda just ends up chilling at my place whenever atsumu is out for while pls he talks about his dad all. the. time. he’s so proud of him

he talks about his uncle a lot too

“yeah they have the same face”

“so like twins….”

“anyways they have the same face”

he ends up talking about osamu and im like oh yeah i go to his shop all the time

me vs not connecting the dots ever ooh oh

aran and i are cousins pls i can see him texting me abt kenji or as i know him 'door step baby'

one time atsumu comes back to no kenji and he lost it. he was knocking on doors everywhere as kenji is about to walk back home he opens the door as tsumu is about to knock and please he almost teared up

now atsumu is interrogating me bro your child kinda just barged in one day and i kinda cant say no have you tried saying no to kenji that shit is hard and i look at his face for the first time like, “oh shit they really do have the same face”

“I TOLD YOU??”

and atsumu is just watching us go back and forth mf brings out the whole govt name and that made him go silent so fast. aran is his middle name and then the light goes off in my head

“aran…”

“yeah it’s my friends name.”

“like aran ojiro”

“…yes”

“YOU’RE DOORSTEP BABY??”

“doorstep what-“

kenji was like “you know uncle aran?”

“uncle ar-“

it had to click in my head for a like a good minute i fted aran after they left

“you didnt tell me i lived near your dumbass friend and his child”

“..why is that my business?”

“you could’ve said something.”

“you didnt even notice until now.”

“okay and-“

kenji just kinda started going to my appt more and that led to atsumu knocking on my appt door more

“you know you should pay me for this”

“pay you- for free heart attacks? yeah no thanks.”

“i watch your child for FREE.”

kenji chimes in “you don’t really watch me though-“

“aht-"

-> atsumu has a son, kenji, and it was a whole baby daddy situation

-> kenji was dropped on his doorstep with a note (which he didnt see until aran pointed it out)

-> he texts the gc (samu, suna, aran) and samu doesn’t believe him, suna didnt care, aran said “proof?”

-> he sends a pic of lil kenji in a basket, only to get this text: “if this is one of your stupid ways to get us to come over i'm beating your ass."

-> “ITS NOT THIS IS A REAL BABY LEFT ON MY DOORSTEP??”

-> aran makes his way over to atsumu’s and tsumu is just staring at kenji and kenji…this mf has LUNGS has been wailing for like an hour??

and atsumu has just been staring???

“it’s just been…like crying”

“IT??”

“I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS!”

“check the note on the back dumbass.”

“there’s a note?“

-> aran just snatches the notes and reads it

meow meow meow she’s giving him to atsumu

meow meow his name is kenji

meow meow you can give him up if you want to i just didnt know where else to take him

atsumu and aran kinda just stand there like this whole time they just stood outside his appt door like…standin there

aran finally says something and they both bring kenji into the appt

there was a bottle next to kenji but neither of them notice until atsumu almost kicked it over.
