I do think A LOT of people see positive results in the digestion department when they go vegan, but it depends on how much dairy they were eating before hand, too. Nutritionists and health experts agree that dairy, by nature, is difficult to digest, and cutting it out is better for your body. The antibiotics present in animal products are also terribly bad for your body. I am not sure it's a good idea to dismiss entirely the health benefits of going vegan.
Lots of people missing the point of this post. Changing your diet can certainly affect your health depending on what you were eating before. This was a response to all the posts I see on vegan social media groups complaining because they fully expected to have glowing skin and get a thigh gap and spontaneously “detox”, and the tone of the post often implies they think they are owed these results after a couple of weeks eating plant-based, but they haven’t materialised. It’s also about the people who pump up “veganism” as some magical cure-all and make posts filled with pseudo-science and Asian-flavoured spiritualism and use words like “cleansing”, making the movement out to be a self-centred obsession with bodily purity and perfection without ever addressing the ethical or environmental aspects of veganism at all.
