On This Day in History February 7, 1795: The Eleventh Amendment to the United States Constitution is ratified. The aim of the amendment? To clarify federal judicial powers that were highlighted in Article III, Section 2 of the United States Constitution.

Here is the text of the 11th Amendment to the United States Constitution: 

Amendment XI

The judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by citizens of another state, or by citizens or subjects of any foreign state.

Qatar prepares to pass judicial law about customs dept

DOHA: Qatar is preparing to pass a new law that would confer judicial powers on customs officials. The legislation would automatically give all customs officials on duty the power to act immediately against violations.
