Mrs. Lucile Amory S. Carhart, Jr. in a sheath dress embellished with a stole and a knee-length flounce. The dress is draped in velvet and silk satin; the stole, 43 meters of heavy double-faced silk satin. Designed by Christian Dior-New York. Here, it is worn with faux black pearls the size of grapes, by Bergère (a necklace worn as bracelets); and a touch of rhinestone earrings.

Mme Lucile Amory S. Carhart, Jr. dans une robe fourreau agrémentée d'une étole et d'un volant arrivant au genou. La robe est un drapé de velours et de satin de soie ; l'étole, 43 mètres de satin de soie double face épais. Signée Christian Dior-New York. Ici, elle est portée avec des perles noires factices de la taille d'un grain de raisin, signées Bergère (un collier porté en bracelets) ; et une touche de boucles d'oreilles en strass.
