As I approached the throne of Jarl Balgroof, I stopped to see that the Jarl was in conference with his inner circle. Some posh Redguard wanted to butt in but all it took was everyone’s glare to silence the fop. As I waited patiently, I was approached by the Jarl’s body guard Irileth so as to my intentions. As I was about to speak of the Sword I had brought with me, I remembered my promise and spoke of the Dragon attack on Helgen and why I had not come sooner.

Balgroof would hear Riverwood’s plight and my story. Proving a caring leader if a little headstrong, he would send aid to Riverwood and reward my efforts before calling me for a new job. So long as it paid I would not mind.

Adrianna “Warmaden” Avenicci is a kindly lady and hard worker. She helped and vouched for me when no one would to be let into the city. I was surprised to find out she is the daughter of the Jarl’s right hand man, a prominent imperial in Skyrim. As thanks for sticking her neck out for me, I offered my help to bring her gift to the Jarl of Whiterun, a steel great sword.

After a long time of traveling from Bleak Falls Barrow and that encounter with a vampire, I decided to lay low for a day in Riverwood to catch my breath and heal up.

Taking the time wile resting I decided to pay the Imperial siblings at Riverwood trader and return their precious dragon claw. Saying that they were ecstatic was a slight understatement as the brother was beside himself to have his treasure back and I couldn't help but wonder if the sister began looking at me funny. Deciding that was not a jar of worms I didn't want to open, I bid Faendal farewell and left for the Sleeping Giant Inn for a cold drink.

On my way to Riverwood, I stumbled on a duel between a Vigilant of Stendarr and a pale woman with blood shot eyes that glared in hunger. Before I could protest what the cause of the  fight was, the pale woman turned on me and flashed me with a weird red light that caused me to feel as if my vitality was being drained off of me. Panicking, I joined the battle with the Vigilant and together we felled the lady who turned out to be a Volkihar vampire.

Finely arriving at the hall of stories the dunmer spoke of in his diary, I noticed that the golden claw of the siblings back in Riverwood was actually a key. Solving the puzzle of the door with the claw, the door would open up into an impressive sight.

Entering the large chamber and up the stairs to the elevated platform, Faendal   and I gleefully raided the treasure of Bleak Falls Barrow. Just as I was praising the exquisite gems, I heard a loud chanting and drumming coming from the wall  overlooking the platform. As I approached the source of the chanting, I became light headed as something was some how forced in to my mind.

Falling to one knee, I labored to gather my balance as a word continued to echo in my mind soon after. “Fus, fus, fus” was all I could hear for those seconds that felt like hours but just as I had finally recovered from the weird faint battle was upon us.
