I haven’t drawn much ElfQuest in awhile!
After two weeks of holidays in USA there was still one week time to relaxe and plan some shootings with two of my friends, sadly I see mostly at conventions. Thanks to Pasta I could shoot 5 costumes at 3 days. All costumes was made in the same city (Kassel) in middle germany. It was the first time to be there outside of a convention haha.
Here the whole list: - Absinth fairy - Joyleaf from Elfquest (Comic) - Inari Kinuka from Zone-00 (Manga) - Lady Eboshi from Mononoke Hime/Ghibli (Anime) - King Joffrey Baratheon from Game of Thrones (TV-Show) Photo by PastaCosplay Costumes/Makeup/Wig by my/Naraku

Joyleaf Makeup test I'm glad I make make up tests for new characters. Need to darken the shadow in my face and a better fitting for the wig. But more or less it's fine for the first time. What is new for me: - this kind of eye makeup. It is so weird to edge the whole eye. I just plan to change the back part, but don't know how. Good to know I have 2 till 2.5 weeks till convention. - a curly wig with elfears....omg....I swear, I hear my rustle hair all the time. So for all people at convention. When I don't understand you, it is because I hear only 50% XD What will change: The ears - I get new better fitting ears.
And the last part of this costume: super cheap weapon. This quiver and arrows are not the best what I made, but for a one day work good enought.

ELFQUEST Some small updates for my next costume. It is the first time I painted leather. It is a sweet and suprising fast work. Some shadow painting on the belt and it was ready to wear.Â
To the other costumes before it is a nice easy and different work with leather and pleather. I used some old shirt pattern and changed the front part. All hems are just cut and burned to have a natural ‘ripped’ look. You can’t see it here but the pants has some brown ribbons on the bottom legs and brown patches with decorative stiches. The horrible fact: it looks better on the dress former, than on me. Hopefully it changes with Make up, wig and weapons.
