We ended fabulous day two of our #HalifaxAdventure at the #GSDT with a hilarious rendition of #TheSoundofMusic, Maritimes style! I sang along (softly, as many didn't seem to be joining in, even though we could) and had, OMG, the best pan fried Haddock evar. I love the cheeky fun what was had with the show. Everything was hilarious, or touching, and very well performed and staged. The musicions were bang on, the actors generous and eneregetic, and the sets lovely. Two things especially stood out to me - First - #JakeWillet, the Mother Superior/Capt. "Lobster" von Trapp, and our server. Gorgeous voice, lovely human, beautiful emotive face. (I have a wee crush, I'm not gonna lie). He is a playwright and in the upcoming production of #Kamp, so go see him. You won't regret it. Second - #NovaScotiaWine community: WHERE DO I BUY #TIDALBAY in Ontario?? Oh. My. God. This is the absoloute epitome of Cool Climate perfection with a nose and bouquet that made me want to dab it on my pulse points. Dear lord. Also, I forgot that in a fit of self congrats and #editingexhaustion I had booked our tickets mere moments after turning over #TheAccidentalCollection to my editor. So when the reservation form asked if we were celebrating something, I said yes. Before act three, #TheAccidentalTurnSeries got a shout out!
