After Cigarettes
Is it obvious what my favorite picture is of gun?
Everyone knows jonggun smokes. Hell, he always smokes a cigarette after he’s with you. If you didn’t mind, he’d probably have one during sex too. Currently, he finds himself on your balcony with you sitting inside at the edge of the bed. Normally, you’d be with him on the balcony. Not naked like him ofcourse. But today you didn’t. Too glued to your phone. You even put on a alarm for a certain hour because you ‘couldn’t miss it’ you said with a weird mix of anxiety and excitement at the same time. He didn’t really ask questions then. Thought you must be busy or had some important deadline or with whatever. But seeing you freak out about a waiting line is making him feel…amused? Perhaps even curious. He takes a drag from his cigarette and takes it out his mouth. ‘What are you even doing?’ His question got ignored by you. You just gave him a strangled noise before freaking out again. Gun sighed. Going inside the house to look at your screen. You didn’t even comment on him smoking in the house…you definitely are fixated on something. He took a seat besides you on the bed, dodging you almost elbowing him in the face from freaking around and moving like some damn madwoman. He took your phone while you screamed in a pillow. Participant 340078? Waiting list? Venue? What the hell were you even doing? Then he saw a familiar name. Dagyeom’s kang world tour? ‘You’re a fan of DG?’ You almost pushed Gun off the bed when you heard a loud happy like beep from your phone. You got in. you can choose seats…it’s not sold out?…you screamed. Hard. Which made Gun surprised and a little concerned. ‘I got in! I got in! I get to see him!’ You seemed awfully happy which Gun couldn’t really comprehend. He had always been honest with you about everything in his life. After all you knew him since he was in a diaper. Even about James. And you still like him? Yeah you’ve definitely lost it. ‘Ofcourse! I love his music!’ You told him, practically almost shoving trough the glass door of the balcony when you hugged him with the sudden amount of strength you got from your…delighted spirit. Hello? James literally killed someone and you’re here all bouncy because he’s going on tour?
‘You want to go too?’ ‘No.’ Gun is NOT going to see James singing and dancing. And frankly, he’s pretty sure James wouldn’t want to see Gun in the crowd either. The thought about seeing James on a stage would give him shivers. What is a man that strong even doing on a stage? He should be fighting.‘Fine. I’ll just go with my friends.’ You told him with a huff. It’s fine. Nothing can ruin your moment right now. You were practically radiating your happiness onto him. And he didn’t like it. Not because you’re happy. But because you’re happy because of james. ‘You know him, right?’ Ofcourse he does. You know that. And where the hell are you getting with this question. ‘Yes…What are you getting at?’ Gun asked you with skepticism. The sparkles in your eyes already told him where you wanted to go with this. His eyes narrowed at you. He didn’t like it one bit. ‘Can you-’ No.’ ‘why not!!??’ If he wasn’t naked, you would’ve grabbed his shirt. Gun put the cigarette back in his mouth and blew the smoke in your face, making you back off. ‘Because, sweetheart, he’s my colleague. Not my friend. And if he knew you liked him. He’ll be smug about it.’ The only people who even knew about your existence was him…and..Goo…but Gun doesn’t worry about that. You huffed finishing buying the ticket that was probably overpriced but you didn’t mind. You had saved up for this moment since forever. ‘I’ll just ask Goo.’ That made Gun snap his head back at you. ‘What?’ You gave him a smile. He’s not sure if it’s intentional or not… ‘Goo said that if you refuse me. He can make up for it.’ You told him, already texting Goo and taking a picture of Gun. Who is still naked by the way. And sending it to Goo. Gun just stared at you for a moment. Quickly taking another drag before snatching your phone out your hand. ‘How did you get his number?’ Gun demanded, deleting the picture you took and the message together with Goo’s number. You snatched your phone back and gave him a slap across the face. It lowkey stung a bit. But Gun likes it for some reason…strength…and actually the balls to slap him..he likes if. ‘Don’t delete people.’ You said, switching to Instagram to text Goo instead, who already had a green icon next to his profile. Gun just gave you a look. ‘You have his Instagram? Seriously?’ Gun wasn’t pleased. Not only did Goo make a move on his girl. He even gave her his number. You took a picture of Gun’s face and sent it to Goo. Gun’s displeasure soon turned into curiosity. He could see the texts you sent Goo. But couldn’t really read them. What did you two talk about? ‘Goo says he’ll do it for me’
Gun groaned. Taking another drag and blew the smoke out of his mouth again. ‘No smoking in my house.’ You said, getting a reply from Goo again about the picture you sent which made you snicker. ‘Yeah well you shouldn’t trust him.’ Gun said with a rather annoyed tone. He wasn’t pleased to hear Goo had made him feel weird. ‘He’s more trustworthy than you.’ You told Gun, handing him the ashtray from the nightstand, not looking up from your phone. Gun could hear the notifications of the text messages you received from Goo. ‘You’re so weird for that’ Gun said with half of the cigarette still in his mouth. He couldn’t really tell you who you were or weren’t allowed to interact with, but it didn’t make it any less weird. ‘Looks like that makes it both of us.’ You told him, finally shutting off your phone and looking at him. He blew smoke in your face, making you close your eyes for a moment before you gave him another smack across the face. ‘Don’t.’ The warning made Jonggun raise his eyebrows. A low hum escaping his lips. He didn’t seem fazed by the hit. In fact, he told you he preferred it that way. It wasn’t really that hard. And he thinks it’s funny, even when you always hug or kiss him afterwards. Even now, you moved to rest your head on his shoulder. He didn’t mind, he just continued to smoke. ‘Do you dislike it when i smoke?’ He asked you putting out his cigarette in the ashtray, it was already going to be burned up soon anyways. The question didn’t seem to face you either. You just opened your phone again, looking at the prices of DG’s tickets going up. ‘Not really. I just don’t like it when the house smells like it.’ Jonggun leaned back against the headboard. His eyes drifting to your phone. He could see looking at the merch prices. ‘You never seem to stop me if i do.’ Well. It wasn’t THAT big of a deal as long as he puts open a window, and if it isn’t all the time. And to be honest, you’re too focused on the concert to care that much. ‘Uh….’ You murmured something to Jonggun which he didn’t really understand, but he gave you the benefit of the doubt and just agreed with what you said in hopes this weird conversation is over. ‘I want to buy merch. Buy me merch’ gun just gave you an aspirated sigh and nodded his head. Ugh…he’s not fond of being over at your place and seeing DG’s face plastered all over your walls. But whatever…it’s your place…
