jonesberry messy romantic storyline would have hit so hard. like imagine the maria storyline with them dating or close to dating or in a situationship. imagine rachel realising how her actions affect others and apologising to mercedes and mercedes saying she deserves better (and getting a partner who values her). this leads to 1. justice for mercedes 2. rachel not getting what she wants and realising how terrible she can be. there could be other ways out of this but how good are they, particularly for mercedes??
