i think that my feelings on the fandomification of grace as a character is that... the complex surface-level of her in the musical are actually interesting?? like she's not the stereotypical christian girl character from other pieces of media. she's not blonde. she's not popular. she's not soft. she's not super feminine. like, more than the other female leads i guess, but not compared to all female characters in the show. she has a complex relationship with sexual agency, that's the plot of the musical, but we see her experience a desire that is by far and away more sexual than romantic or even social. she loves ghost stories (no i will not shut up about this). so when she's narrowed into a coquette catholic stereotype, even before her corruption arc, i can't help but feel frustrated bc. that's not my girl. she is annoying!!!!!
