Private View • Solo Show • Lilford Gallery, Canterbury, UK
Last night saw the opening of my solo show at Lilford Gallery, Canterbury. The evening kicked off at 6pm with a good crowd enjoying sparking wine generously given by Herringbone Kitchens who sponsored the evening. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. It was a real pleasure to see so many people from a range of different circles in life! Below are a couple of photos from the evening.

A Recent Spot of Framing
Recently I had a painting called ‘Lemon on Stool’ framed for a collector. I haven't had many of my paintings framed, but I have been really impressed by a few I have had done by Lilford Framers in Canterbury. A non-imposing frame seems to round the work off and consolidate it. On the back of the panels I work there are batons that are slightly receded from the edges, this give the effect of the art work slightly hovering off the wall. Generally I like the minimal aesthetic of just the artwork, without anything else, but if the framers keep up such a good job maybe I will have to convert!
