You don't own me, Pietro! You never have, and you never will!
Son of M Vol 1 3: "The Crooked Path"
if you keep changing yourself, how long until you’re no longer you?
Inhuman of The Day
June 6th -Â Jolen
A member of the younger generation of Inhumans, Terrigenesis altered Jolen’s appearance, leaving him with brown skin with a pattern of thorn-like protrusions on his face and over his brow, with brown, vine-like hair.  Jolen was endowed with the ability to manipulate vegetation and other forms of natural flora.  He can additionally transform his body into a plant-like form, a skill he can use to recover from otherwise fatal injuries.  He has also can use this ability to transport his consciousness from one place to another; communicate with others over vast distances by taking over a tree, houseplant, or shrubbery and reshaping it so to bear his visage. Â
Jolen was part of a delegation sent to earth as a type of ‘student exchange program’ meant to enhance relations between Attilan and the United States.  Jolen was selected for the program by the then Chancellor of the Genetic Council, Carthus.  Carthus wanted Jolen involved in that he and Jolen shared a mutual contempt toward the humans.  Carthus intimated to Jolen that this whole emissary program was secretly a first step in a long-term strategy to conquer and subjugate the Earth.
Jolen was romantically involved with his fellow emissary, Narhees.  She broke off her their affair shortly after arriving on Earth and the heartbreak only acted to intensify Jolen’s bitterness and hatred toward the humans.  On two occasions, Jolen murdered a number of human college students, using his powers to dispose of the bodies.  This was never discovered and, as of this writing, Jolen has yet to be held accountable for his crimes. Â
The emissary program was eventually cancelled and Jolen and his colleagues all returned to Attilan.  Jolen took to working in the royal gardens, using his powers to greatly augment the beauty and lushness of the grounds.  It was at this time that he began to romantically pursue the queen’s sister, Crystal.  Crystal was separated from her then-husband, Quicksilver, and was actually a good deal receptive towards Jolen’s advances.  When Quicksilver was able to reattain his speed abilities via exposure to the Terrigen Crystals, he took revenge on Jolen, beating him to within an inch of his life. Â
Thereafter, Jolen resigned his post as gardener and enlisted in the Royal Guard.  He accompanied Gorgon on a mission to New York that was meant to intimidate the American government into returning the Terrigen Crystals that Quicksilver had stolen (an act that began the Silent War event).  Gorgon’s team took a group of wealthy Americans hostage and Jolen ensnarled them with his control over a series of roots and vines.  He misinterpreted Gorgon’s order to silence a few of the more vocal prisoners and Jolen killed them, causing the vines to constrict to such a degree that the prisoners were crushed. Â
It had not been Gorgon’s intention to take any of these humans’ lives and he and his team attempted to flee when they were encountered by The Fantastic Four.  After a brief battle, Gorgon, Jolen and the others were defeated by The Fantastic Four and were ultimately imprisoned by the Office of National Emergency.  They eventually escaped with he aide of Dewoz who used his teleportation abilities to free them from their incarceration.  They were also able to re-obtain the stolen crystals before teleporting back to Attilan. Â
Jolen escaped with the others through the Door of Eldrac during the Infinity Event. Â His current whereabouts remain unknown.

the matta shamkya is a bow that jolen picks up along his adventures
it is a demon slaying weapon that curses its target. the original set of bow and arrows could take down a demon lord in three hits, however the arrows have been lost to history and so the potency of the bow is not what it was. jolen experiments with materials on the way, trying to build suitable replacement arrows. his current arrows are fletched with feathers from shirshim
the bow is useless against non-demons
