my dash is flooded with people saying that martin freeman is a poor tortured man who is depicting the Real John where the writers got it wrong like ... acting/screenwriting doesn't occur in a vacuum? everything feeds back into each other? scripts need to be to an extent literal in order to provide base motivations for actors to build upon? i'm v frustrated martin /can/ 'do that with a look' but lots of people are behind the finished scenes we see as part of the final product
