And in many ways, Prophet's time in prison still defines who he is as a person.
always reaching, always searching, always running towards the redemption he's already paid for with the time he spent in prison. saving lives is the redemption Prophet seeks, but he will never see it like that.
so as Sam stands there and listens to part of his Soul pour out every fact of prison and every experience he went through, all Sam can think is, "this is a bad idea."
and the director will continue to do nothing.

Jon is Gertrude’s assistant, so he’s around the archives when she starts working with Gerry and like so Jon sees Gerry on occasion when he has to visit the archives and like Jon gets a bit smitten with our lovely Goth (Bonus: Assistant Jon has read about Gerry in statements so he’s a lil starstruck when Gerry does show up in person)Â
So cue one day Jon bumps into him and is all ‘Oh are you looking for Gertrude... she just left’
and then Gerry is like ‘Actually... you were the one I was wanting to see’
Bonus: Jon is pining for our dear Martin as well during this time so it’s like ‘bonus potential jongerrymartin’ outcomes too
You know, I've realised one of the reasons why I enjoyed The Magnus Archives so much right from the start; instead of falling for the schmuck bait, the guy giving the statement did not get within range of the creepy figure in the dark alleyway monotonously asking for a cigarette. Even though he was drunk, he was still able to decide 'Nope, I'm not going any closer'. You wouldn't find him going into a clearly abandoned house to look around, in the dead of night, after the door creaked open ominously just as he was passing and he could hear something in the darkness repeating him word for word.
