Today someone in a black car sprayed me with BB gun pellets like from an airsoft gun or something while I was waiting at the bus stop. I haven't been able to shake the anger that they had fun at my expense. I'm pretty sure it's something they do often by the way they slowed down as if to pull over then drove off after. Either they always shoot pedestrians, bus riders, the visibly disabled, or the homeless. What really gets me is the unprovoked threat of violence towards a stranger. Like what is it supposed to do? You want poor people to be scared? Am I supposed to be afraid of being hurt and dying? My life sucks so bad I'm going to start carrying around a brick to throw if this happens again.

Greshamās Grasshoppers
Sir Thomas Greshamās will provided for the founding of Gresham College ā the location of free public lectures (and which has previously featured on this blog). Gresham made the money that facilitated this through his career as a merchant and financier, serving Edward VI, Mary I and Elizabeth I. However, it was perhaps a clever bit of investing that gave him his biggest income, which was his proposal to build the Royal Exchange at his own expense, in return for a share of the profits from the rental incomes of the shops that would be situated there.
Greshamās original Royal Exchange opened in 1571, but was then burnt down in the Great Fire of 1666; its successor fared just as well, burning down in 1838. One feature survived both blazes: the weathervane of a golden grasshopper ā Greshamās crest. Another golden grasshopper can be seen a short walk away in Lombard Street, the site of Greshamās former headquarters.
Why was the grasshopper Greshamās symbol? A story was told that his ancestor, Roger de Gresham, was abandoned in a field of tall grass as a baby. The noise of a grasshopper attracted a woman to the spot, and she rescued the child. The more likely explanation, however, is that the grasshopper is simply a play on the similarity between the sounds of āgrassā and āgresā.

I donāt really upload WIPs very often, so I figured it wouldnāt hurt for once. Hereās some tarot card WIPs Iāve had kicking around for a while that I just tied down tonight!Ā
I had made a list of all the PCs and a bunch of NPCs to fill out all of the Major Arcana, but seeing as itās been a year since Iāve picked this project up, I doubt ill have the energy for a whole deck. I did want to at least get the PCs + our DMs favorite NPC on the docket, though. I have ideas on how I want to render these out but for now theyāll exist as just these sketches.Ā
These characters specifically are from the Agaras campaign, in order - Malotz, Schmendrick, Greshāam, Lyrshel, Alikeri, Cullpepper, and Cartwright.
