Another interesting observation i'm making in my thesis prep is that Jilliane Hoffman is basically not mentioned anywhere, despite her books having been bestsellers and imo also being intensely interesting deliberations on how the justice system works or doesn't work. But maybe i'm biased because her books happened to me when i was like fourteen and left a lasting impression.
#idk when i was like fourteen i started venturing into the adult section of the library#and some of the early authors i read there were kellermans and jilliane hoffman and those certainly had an *impact* on me#and jilliane hoffman in particular is super interesting to me bc her main characters are usually lawyers#so you get a whole different side of the justice system incl a lot of time spent on courtroom scenes#but well. whatever.#maybe there's too much interpersonal/private drama that doesn't mesh with the 'masculine' genre conventions#maybe it's bc she's in florida and the texts i'm reading seem to focus on california & new york#maybe my perception simply is skewed#kaj rambles#uni adventures#to delete later#jilliane hoffman#frankly i think her dominic falconetti is like 60% responsible for my type in men ngl
