Retribution - Jilliane Hoffman Rate: 5/5 stars Let me tell y'all. This book. It is safe to say that this book is amazing. I'm not sure how to explain this one to you all without sounding like I do in all of my other reviews, but woo. It'll be hard. A rapist that does his dirty work in a clown mask, only to later be charged in court by a woman he raped...only to find out he's also being charged for murders...THAT HE DIDN'T COMMIT (lol I don't know how to do bold/italics on mobile yet). Starting off with what will seem like your basic murder mystery/ love story, totally takes you off guard. I cannot even begin to tell you the amount of times that I had to put the book down to actually calm myself. But I'm also a very active reader so that might explain a bit. I feel like this review isn't going anywhere lol but ugh this book is so good!!! You should give it a read!! •Message me! Talk to me! Did you read the book?

Lisa Gardner - The Perfect Husband Rate: 5/5 stars Let me tell y'all about this damn book This book put me through so much pain, and emotional turmoil it's hard to explain. If you didn't know, mystery/horror is my favorite genre. And this is probably my favorite book I have read so far (except for the ending but I'll get to that later). Jim Beckett. The scariest villains I have ever read. This book...actually scared me while I read it. I'm actually having trouble producing a good review because I just cannot find the right words. The characters in this book are very well developed, and every one mentioned plays such an important part later it's crazy to understand. For the most part I could feel the emotions the characters were experiencing --except for Jim-- that I felt so much closer to the book. The pace of the book was perfect, and except for the minor sex scenes, everything was amazing. Except for that dang ending. Let me give you all a quick summary: You need something from someone, and they're trying their best to give it to you. You complain, yell and cry at them and they just take it. While still trying to help you. You get to a moment where you've tried to apply the help they've given you to your situation, and it doesn't work, BECAUSE YOU'VE COMPLAINED TOO MUCH TO LEARN. So they step in and basically do it for you. At the very end, you execute the last move. Basically taking credit for all of the work that they've done. Even though you really have done nothing to contribute. That's what the end of the book was. Taking credit for someone else's work. That's why I'm so mad at the ending. I hope that doesn't discourage you from reading the book because it really is a good book. But it's just how I feel. For the most part, beautiful book. I loved it so so much. •Message me! Talk to me!
