She is 59 years old, blind and a widow. Here she is wearing the Jhola frock with the ‘Matamai’ haar and I think she looks adorable. This so called society we live in tells my mother that she should not be wearing colours because she is a widow and considering the fact that she is 59 years old she should reflect that in her style of dressing! Oh well, I disagree, this so called society cannot and will not take away the right of wearing colours from my beloved mother. Her age will not stop her from doing anything in her life and this biased, intolerable and regressive society will not hold her back. I am proud of who she is and I am happy for her. The colours she wears shows her love for life , her zeal to dress up in a way that reflects her personality ; showcases her and her style quotient, and I will not let anyone take that away from her. So next time if you try to judge an older women or a widow think twice, if you see someone being intolerant challenge them. My mother is OLD , BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL and I like it that way.
