I’d like to say thank you @taylorswift for everything you have done for the LGBTQ+ community. I have always been so scared and completely terrified to speak up about anything having to do with my sexuality. I was raised in the LDS (or Mormon) religion and was constantly told that “being gay is a sin and that it’s a choice.” Sadly, I used to believe this and I would push any feelings that were considered “wrong” to my parents deep down and ignore them. It has always been horrifying to mention anything about my sexuality out of fear of rejection, because that’s what they told me. I realized that I don’t care about what anyone thinks about ME, because the only one who matters in the end is ME! They still don’t accept me and honestly it sucks, but that’s who I am. I am gay and I can’t change it. It’s not a choice, It’s not a sin, and it’s just who I am. Thank you so much for liking ME for Me! I want thank you for all my friends and especially @minemp3 my first Taylor swift friend. Thank you so much for helping me to accept myself for ME! I love you so much and I want to once again thank you for everything. 💗🦋🌈🏳️🌈
