Yesterday I had the pleasure of changing it up with a design I know very well. I have been using the house amplifiers past few weeks, neglecting my Fractal AX8 and Bogner Ecstasy with a 1x12. Friends who gave me hell for that. You know who you are. Chew on this treat. I’m not entirely picky with what I play through, tone..it’s all in my hands. Plus if I don’t have to haul an amp.. I certainly won’t. On Saturday buddy Garrett of @bennett.amplification was kind enough to let me borrow a King Combo 1x12. Vol, Tone, Master Vol. all you need. Verdict = Plexi meets Twin. Yes I said it. This amp can do anything if you apply yourself right. Must mention how reliable it was for long hot gigs in the sun. It delivered. Was sharp, very loud and efficient. Bell like cleans. Gain was clear when pushed. Yesterday we were blessed to share the stage the stage with Swells and Local Culture, played our own style of #IslandReggae with #r&b with ambient grooves. Adding #Cumbia and rock towards the end of the set. I can’t wait to take it for a spin at the next rock gig/session this week. The Bennet King Combo is truly in a class of its own. Went to gonoay a quick visit to the homie @officialchrispoland, we ended the klon war a while back.. and since he’s used my silver Klon, went and got one himself, he let me borrow this #KTR for my opinion and personal notes. Now I put this up with my 2003 Silver Klon, @badcatamps Siamese Drive (Dual Klon.. my fav for live) @mojohandfx #SacredCow (closest to my silver to my ears with subtle fat/lean switch), and a Russian built Klon from @tsh847 that is definitely a different flavor of close to the original. 2 other Klones in the bag as well. Little video from #TheToneConsultant on finalizing frets. Holding the camera as doing this is not my normal form.
