Now that I am on a Back to School (in spirit) roll on the shoe front. Penny Loafers were also a style staple for my Catholic uniform childhood self.  I remember the fun of putting those shiny pennies in the front and keeping the leather all spit shined (OK not real spit). I always preferred the black leather ones over burgundy.  I still do, though Michael Jackson moon walking kind of ruined them for me. So, I leave my white crew socks at home. 

My Penny loafer likes: Bass makes the classic wheejun's style, but I always like the mens better.  They are a little more sturdy and structured. Now with taking care of my Loafers, I use Lincoln Black polish. If it's good for the Marines, it's good for me.  The smell alone triggers childhood memories of my  Ex-Marine Dad (OK once a Marine, always a Marine) shining his shoes with a old white t-shirt to perfection. Careful enough not to get it on our gold shag carpet. 

Speaking of my Dad, he is back home now and healing well. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.
