Jesse Ross | Ruins Headcanon
I forgot this guy is pretty cool in ruins!
Jesse belongs to @crowqueendraws
Jesse was a descendant of the Luminated (A concept from different project and is only briefly mentioned. Just know Zalgo and Slenderman are ants compared to it). His sixth sense gave him the ability of foresight of potential danger. After an unfortunate vision of seeing his sister, Elizabeth, dying in a motorcycle accident and he begs her stop seeing her girlfriend. After this Jesse decided to cloaked his sixth sense. Because his abilities were dormant for so long he wasn't warned about Jeff's massacre. He was stabbed several times in the chest and his body was half burnt.
Jesse and Mrs. Soun had a mutual understanding since they were both gifted with foresight.
The Ross Family
While Vicky (his daughter) had nightmares, her eyes never showed signs of her sixth sense. So Jesse assumed and hopped she never got his gift.
Marge (his sister) always got anxious before something bad happening but that was all. She had a really dull version of foresight.
Elizabeth (his sister) didn't get it all but was a magnet for misfortune.
Janette (his niece) also never got foresight but was a magnet for misfortune like her belate mother.

Made a video about the wonderful Trophy Dark game. A super rules light horror game that has become one of my favorite one shot systems and just favorite systems in general!
Just picked up this book and I’m immediately impressed that more than half of the page count is adventures and their equivalent of a mega-dungeon.
Very excited to dive in

Jesse Ross (Vicky's son) and an explanation about his name change -
ICE is an incredibly evil and violent corporation built solely on racism and cruelty. Not only have they detained and abused countless innocents, they have also unjustly taken many lives. Keith Porter and Alex Pretti are just two of their victims, and there may unfortunately be more in the future.
The man who murdered Renee Good is named Johnathan Ross. Unfortunately, Vicky's father and son were also named Johnathan Ross. And, since I don't take ICE nor what they do lightly, I've decided to change their names permanently. Vicky's father and son are now named Jesse. Please use these names with them moving forward, as I do not want ICE to have any further space in my creative world, except for future posts denouncing them.
Please also spread the word about this, as I don't want anyone accidentally using the wrong name with these characters. Thank you.

Mental health in horror RPGs
Rather than use a traditional Sanity mechanic, Cthulhu Dark and @TrophyRPG Dark point the way to better ways of modeling mental harm when playing a horror #TTRPG
Photo by Elina Krima on Pexels.com I’ve been playing a bit more Trophy Dark lately, and today I had the opportunity to play Cthulhu Dark (one of Trophy’s main precursors) as well. One thing both games have in common is the way they model harm, including mental harm, and this approach provides a fantastic model for other games. Traditional games often have a Sanity score, an approach popularized…
