Quick question!! For context, I'm a Liam Yumeshipper and I was wondering if like, using the design where he has green eyes in fanart is alright with you? I know it's a stupid question but I noticed you've been using a design where he has brown eyes And I figured I would at least check in with you, since you're his creator!
It doesn't bother me, you can use the green eyes— I don't mind that option, and actually, he looks really nice :)
I like these three options for Liam's eyes, but canonically, his eyes are brown .

♡ The comedy potential. Jeff losing to a 10 year old in his opening sequence before the flashback is hilarious.
❥ Also, that there was a flashback in that story. A few people keep saying Jeff's canonically 13, but the 2011 version, which is the one we're talking about, starts with Jeff trying to kill a child in their bedroom. During this scene he's descibed to be 'a tall man' which most would agree sounds like an adult. The backstory behind the killer takes place in a flashback, and even if it didn't, outside of personal aus, there's no reason he can't age past 13.
♡ Parents that try and care and make mistakes because they're human too. For example Margaret and Peter in the 2011 version, Sheila and Matt in the 2015 version, and Judy and Louis in The Morgue Files. They were neglectful, some more than others, but not uncaring. They made mistakes but they didn't deserve to die for them.
♡ The killer enjoying killing and not just being tragic, but also not unfeeling. Not to say I don't like my evil for the sake of evil and tragic misunderstood characters. Like in Fear Me, which I've made a short post about mentioning how I like Jeff's portrayal.
♡ Seeing/touching on how the background characters perceive them. Like, in JZoidberg's entry for the 2015 contest we hear about Jeff's 'Go to Sleep' line being blown out of proportion by the media and being used by teens like a ghost tale. This is really prominent in Banning K's series, we have Jeff's Killers and Liu's story for example.
♡ I like the other antagonists/supporting characters having more characterization beyond being plot devices. They don't have to be super in depth, but I like seeing instances or hints of them having other sides to them even just hobbies.
❥ I remember reading Ekatlani's Jeff the Killer rewrite and liking a scene where Randy shows immediate concern after one if his guys is injured and then has to choose between running after Jeff to get his lick back or helping his friend, to which he stays. I also really like Banning K's Randy.
♡ This one's more common nowadays, atleast from what I've seen, but I just really like Jeff and Nina having a good relationship, whether it's romantic or platonic.
♡ Maybe it's because Margaret got a bigger role than Peter in 2011 Jeff the Killer, but I'm so interested in Jeff's relationship with his mom, and then how his relationship with his dad and Liu differ from that.
♡ The idea of Jeff with frost burns. Think about it, your skin gets paler in the cold, your hair can also darken in cold weather, frost burns make your skin feel waxy, your pupils dilate in the dark which can make your eyes appear darker. The set-up for his family moving to a colder area and him getting caught in a snowstorm or something is right there. Jeff getting caught outside because of a kids' petty revenge like blocking the door without knowing a storm would hit is more plausible than burning him alive guns blazing.
♡ 'Go to Sleep' not being intended to be menacing, but something meant to comfort the victim like a lullaby would. Pastra's Jeff did make it menacing but also like he genuinely wanted Liu to make this easier and just go to sleep. JZoidberg's entry also has Jeff only saying 'Go to sleep' to the kids who saw him during the murders, it was said to those he spared.
♡ Using Nina's potential as a copycat killer more. Imagine her and Jeff keeping the cops off each other's backs. Maybe people don't know there's two killers yet. They're running duos like Kira.
♡ People bringing up/making use of Jeff stalking Nina in her original story. He reached out first with notes and stuff. In a romantic au, he fell first, she fell harder. And outside of romance it would be a nice addition to his character to explore especially because in Jane Arkensaw's story, Jeff went out of his way to gift her clothes, a wig, and an apology note for failing the kill while she was in the hospital. It could be a running continuity that Jeff doesn't just kill randomly, he stalks his victims, gets to know them and keeps track of them to a point. Every kill and incident might be something he's invested in.
What if I made Jane Richardson against the government who got brainwashed into being an agent and she starts to remember her old self when she hangs with Mary?
Basically this "Jane" was an activist against shady companies. She was able to find incriminating information between the Arkensaw and Wicker families.
But she was either caught and kidnapped or her sister got sick and she had to return the information for money.
Whichever path I decide, she was turned into a sleeper agent. And she lived the next few years being a victimologist. Until she met Mary at a flower show, who turned out to be a new agent.
Since Mary is immune to brainwashing, her resistance to authority was slowly being back "Jane's" old self.
And then she's attacked by Jane Arkensaw and revived with the nanites.

Do you have any tips on studying the planes of the face?
Absolutely!
Honestly, I completely understand why people struggle to get a grasp on the planes of the face. When you look it up, the examples that come up are quite intimidating.
What helped me a lot was staying away from the more complex versions and instead going for something much simpler to start out with. For example, breaking the face into ten or so shapes instead of, like, thirty.
This photo is a really good example of what I studied first:
It breaks the face into a few simple shapes that are easy to remember.
Once you have something like this in mind, try identifying the planes on the faces of real people. Personally, I did this using a similar photo to the one above as a reference, then after I did that a few times, I removed the reference and winged it to see what I had learned.
After you 'master' the foundations, that's when you can start refining the skill and incorporating more shapes, like this:
It also helps a lot to research facial anatomy, specifically bone structure, cartilage, muscle shapes, and fat distribution. Keep in mind that all of these vary from person to person, though, as it can be a slippery slope into same-face syndrome (not like that's a bad thing. You only have to worry about same-face syndrome if it's something you personally care about. It doesn't work for every style, and that's okay!).
When it comes to the latter, The Likeness Doctor on TikTok makes phenomenal videos that break down how to identify and translate key facial features into art! I highly recommend checking them out.
And ultimately, the best tip I have is to be patient with yourself. Art is a skill; therefore, you aren't going to be phenomenal at it right out of the gate. I've been drawing ever since I could pick up a pen, and I am far from a master at it. That's the beauty in the hobby, I think; it's one that you'll be nurturing and developing for the rest of your life.

Canon x canon is INCREDIBLY rare so I've realized
Not "canon in a relationship" I mean like... ships that are within the same universe as the pasta. I mean, it's probably cuz side characters are incredibly underdeveloped (which is fair cuz u know they're not the main character duh), but man, I'm rlly curious if there are more ppl out there who ship canon x canon ships
wait fawn walk with me. highschool ticcikills au where they both get taken by slenderman after grad and he wipes their memories and they hate each other. then one of them gains their memories back
