#jelsa hate

Jelsa was created by fans in 2013 believing that Elsa from Disney's Frozen and Jack Frost from DreamWorks' Rise of the Guardians was a good pairing because of their winter powers.

Jack Frost's and Elsa's movies' do not correlate with each other, though, Jelsa fans do so by making the characters OOC a.k.a. changing their personalities and the movies' storylines in order for the two main characters to meet. Two examples: 1. They take Anna out of the picture, who was the one to help Elsa with her problems, and replace her with Jack instead (they remove the sisterly bond the Frozen movie was centered around). 2. They remove the scene in ROTG where Jack tell's MiM (Man in the Moon) that he's tried everything and no one ever sees him.

There is no other similarities between Elsa and Jack Frost to what the fans believe. Neither of them sacrificed themselves for their sisters; Jack was propelled toward the crack in the pond's ice his sister Mary stood on as he used his crook to save her. Elsa's parents kept her hidden away to protect the village from her uncontrolled powers. Jack Frost is the embodiment of winter whilst Elsa was born with her powers due to her mother saving their father as told in Frozen 2.

The creators of Frozen did not make Elsa immortal, and as well, claimed that they will never give Elsa a love interest.

There is nothing more about Jelsa that is at all interesting even of the fact that fans take clips from the movies and create YouTube video edits and screenshot edits. (Annoying and ridiculous!)

DreamWorks (owned by Universal Studios) and Disney are rival companies that will never combine their movies to create crossovers.

I really don’t like Jelsa. I don’t think it’s so much the pairing itself as it is the fandom’s insistence that it is the one true ship and that it will be canon and this whole up-in-your-face bullshit that exploded onto the scene alongside it. I’m also just not a fan of the pairing in general; admittedly, I’m not very open-minded to it to begin with because of aforementioned reason, but I don’t really see the connection.

I also don’t ship Rainbow Snowcone, but for a completely different reason. I think it was that it felt like, in the movie, it was just totally forced at the very end. I would have been fine if Toothiana and Jack fell in love – I mean, I’m absolutely fine with Hiccup and Astrid – but there wasn’t any on-screen development of this. It was just like, in the last two minutes of the movie, they said “oh hey, it’s time to reduce our badass, amazing female character down to nothing more than the requisite love interest for the main character.” I felt that it just came out of nowhere, and that completely betrayed the way the characters should have been. I’m not saying it because “it’s gay” or because I personally do ship it, but I think that, if there were going to be a romance in Rise of the Guardians, it should have been with Bunnymund, because we got to see this redemption arc. We got to have a focus on their relationship and watch as it developed and watch their feelings grow, even if it was just platonic love. So I don’t ship Rainbow Snowcone mainly because I feel like it was forced in the last few minutes, and Toothiana doesn’t deserve to be anything other than beautiful and amazing.

Also I realise I just listed two heterosexual pairings. I’m not opposed to them, but they aren’t usually something I actively ship. I think Hiccstrid is pretty cute but that’s kind of more “I support you existing” rather than “I actively ship you.”

One last one I don’t ship is Blackice. I haven’t gone too deep into the fandom, and I know not all portrayals of this ship are like it, but I’ve seen a lot of it in that fandom that borders around abuse or manipulation – and, again, I’m not saying that all Blackice is like this – but because of the prevalence of it, I just can’t find myself getting behind it.

Jack is 14/ immortal and Elsa is 21. Stop shipping them

you only ship them because they both have ice powers.

Jack is from dreamworks and Elsa is from disney it will never work out.
