wow your optimism is everything, even after a such a half ass love you and then oliver showing he hates BT this really was helpful. I really do hope BT is going to be over soon, we just need her to find out about the will and that'll do it. She wants no part of being a parent to Eddie's kid, and the fact Buck kept that from her will be the final nail in their coffin.

My optimism comes directly from the show, TBH. There are tons of shows where I love certain ships, but I wouldn't necessarily be feeling so optimistic about a couple that has yet to go canon. If I feel optimistic about 911 and Buddie, it's because of the choices the show's made along the way, and the care and compassion it has had for its characters and viewers alike. It's a show with heart. It's not scared of the LGBTQ rep, either. So if the show will follow its own narrative and the choices it made along the way? Where things stand now, it feels like there's only one logical conclusion. It doesn't mean the show will def follow through (I've seen shows changing their direction, sometimes because of external circumstances, a bit like how Michael was written out in 508 due to the actor's refusal to get vaccinated), but as long as the show is free to make its own choices in telling its story? Based on the ones it already made and the build up it has already been put into motion?... All I'm doing is to highlight these choices and the way that they're weaved together.
