BJJMMS - (National Poetry Month Day 14)
I used to be in love with being alone. I deemed myself too dark a cloud, that poisoned all the brightness of my friends. So I always walked one step behind, for I would never let rain fall on them.
But you six came along, and in the silence of my room emerged a place that I adored. They say the Internet will kill our generation, but I know that they're wrong. If not for it, I still would think myself a storm, no matter that the sky is all but grey.
I think it's rather funny that the only explanation of "dark" is the absence of light.
I always thought I'd only ever have the best group of people I could find to be alone in. With your illuminating words, I thank you, for finally proving me wrong.
