No, seriously.

It’s okay to let yourself feel the emotion. It’s okay to let yourself feel the anger, guilt, and regret.

More than okay, you should.

Did you know that humans are one of, as far as I know, three mammals that can cry? So don’t shy away from it!

But more so than that, it’s important to let ourselves know that we have acknowledged the issue. That we have admitted that we’re broken, that we’ve admitted our faults. And also that we’ve been heard.

Too many times have I seen people let issues ball up inside of them, never taking the time to feel the emotion, just ignoring it and moving on.

It’s not healthy. You’ll end up like me, who only realized today the event that caused a significant part of my trauma.

Yesterday I would have played it off as me being young and childish. That it was my fault.

It wasn’t.

But neither is what you’re dealing with. So go back, feel the emotion, and make sure you’re okay.

But even better is the idea that you can request them for odd jobs like Machamp for heavy lifting, or Mr. Mime for a party.

This is Rosie. We don’t know her breed or her age. She showed up at our local rescue shelter without any documentation, and my parents immediately fell in love with her.
