Friend: what news?

Me: Charlie kirk's mentor died 10 days ago in a pickleball accident. This is the guy that the leverage team based their "Gimmie a K Job" episode on. The one where they turn cheer into a sport. This guy made his money by risking the lives of millions of cheerleaders, and you know what our GOVERNMENT said about that? "If we turn cheer into a sport and force high schools to update their safety equipment, it'll have serious ramifications on his business, so we're not gonna do that."

Friend: ...a PICKLEBALL accident???

Me: man, I bet he's really wishing pickleball updated their safety standards or something right about now.

Jeff Webb, one of Charlie Kirk’s mentors and the father of modern cheerleading, died at age 76 on Thursday, March 19

The Varsity Spirit founder reportedly sustained a head injury while playing pickleball two weeks prior to his death, after which his family made the decision to remove him from life support

Brother: well, considering the fact that you are concerned if it makes you a bad person, im going to say no. Besides, some people aren't worthy of being missed. Like Charlie Kirk, for example.

Me: ...this guy was Charlie kirk's mentor.

Brother: then feel free to hate him.

Dad: I would hope I raised you kids to have respect for the dead.

Me: if I ever have kids, im going to teach them that if they don't want people to talk bad about them after they die, they shouldn't live a life in which people will want to talk bad about them.
