  Hello, hello, everyone! Today, we already had one Throwback Thursday moments. BUT! I have decided! Time for another……..!

  THROW BACK THURSDAY!

  The second Throwback Thursday videos of the day is actually a parody movie trailer for Gurren Lagann series! As I looked for this video on my YouTube channel to do a Throwback Thursday moment, I came to realize that this was even less popular than my TriGun – Bang Bang AMV. Whereas the TriGun AMV had a little over 500 to 600 views, this video had only total of just over 100 views. TriGun AMV also had 5 likes, whereas this in comparison had only 1. Considering how much more work I put into making AMV’s for Gurren Lagann alone, there’s a part of me that does feel somewhat disappointed in the fact that the parody movie trailer for Gurren Lagann wasn’t all that popular.

  For those of you that don’t know the movie Inception, it’s a movie with the concept where one goes into a dream that’s within a dream within a dream, leaving four layers in total – Dream that’s in a dream, which is in another dream, which is the main dream, and the final layer being the reality of everything. And more so than that, it’s an action movie where there seems to be consistent fighting in order for one of the characters to gain back ultimately his freedom to return to United States so that he may be able to see his children again.

  I took the idea of having to fight for that freedom to go on living in a place where the main character feels like he should actually be living in rather than on the run and incorporated it into the Gurren Lagann series, which is all about having to fight for freedom in order to live above on the surface rather than undergrounds. And by combining forces using different set of strong skills that each member of the team has is another thing that both the movie Inception and the Gurren Lagann series has.

  Having to put together video wasn’t exactly the easiest thing on earth, but having to assign the characters from Gurren Lagann to another specific character/role in the Inception movie wasn’t all too hard. Kamina was the one that was fighting from beginning to the end in order to get to where he wanted to live – on the surface – but whether he gets out alive or not is all found out depending on how far the viewers are willing to go with watching the Gurren Lagann series. As for Yoko, since she was the only female and she was hesitant slightly about following Kamina at first, it was a no brainer who she would have been assigned to. As for the professor, who was the main character’s father in the Inception movie, could be said to be an intelligent man because of having to be of old age and filled with wisdom along the side of having to teach what I would assume would be a graduate course if not just regular undergrad architecture program, it was easy to just give that part off to Leeron since Leeron is the one with the brains of the entire system in the series.
