wow! I can’t believe you don’t have snow yet.

It is somewhat irregular, but not unheard of. I have heard of one year, possibly in the 90s, where there was no snow in Anchorage until Christmas. But also from what I've been told, in the 80s, everyone could expect to be walking around in a Halloween costume in the snow.

What does it mess up?

Ok. I stand corrected. And as we later discussed, there are disadvantages and perks for each gender: Males likely get more of a hard time initially, but once the initial "formalities" are dealt with, they are much more likely to be asked to accompany hunters on their subsistence trips.

That actually doesn't look too difficult. I'd probably find a way to mess it up, but it also looks like it doesn't use too many berries if I wanted to give it a try.

You know the way to my heart! I sent a similar pic to a friend and she send me a pic of vanilla ice cream. This will happen.

As delicious as this sounds, I recently discovered that I'm allergic to hazelnuts. This is a somewhat recent development that manifested around the time I was 25 -- along with being allergic to birch and alder pollen. Getting old is rough.

I'd gladly give you some, but I would guess that you might travel better than the berries would. Alaska isn't that much farther than Pennsylvania ;)
