Right-wing figures mock neurodivergent teen for showing emotion at DNC.
Parker Molloy at The Present Age:
During his acceptance speech as the Democratic vice-presidential nominee on Wednesday night, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz shared a deeply personal story about his familyâs struggle with infertility. As he concluded by saying, âHope, Gus, and Gwen, you are my entire world, and I love you,â the camera caught his 17-year-old son Gus standing up, tears in his eyes, pointing to his father and exclaiming, âThatâs my dad!â
It was a sweet display of familial love and pride â a rare moment of raw emotion in the ordinarily carefully choreographed world of political conventions. For many viewers, it was surely a timely reminder of the human beings behind the political personas we see on stage. However, what should have been universally recognized as a beautiful father-son moment quickly became fodder for cruel mockery from pro-Trump social media accounts. The contrast between Gus Walzâs sincere emotion and the derision it provoked from the right offers a troubling glimpse into the state of political discourse and the depths to which partisan attacks have sunk. This not only highlights the lack of basic human decency in certain right-wing corners of our politics but also raises important questions about how conservatives view emotional expression, particularly from young men, in the public sphere. Not only is Gus a minor, but heâs also neurodivergent. People recently ran a story about the Walz family and what Tim and Gwen Walz have come to refer to as Gusâs âsecret power" â a non-verbal learning disorder, ADHD, and anxiety disorder.
Tim Walz told People:
["When our youngest Gus was growing up, it became increasingly clear that he was different from his classmates," the couple tell PEOPLE. "Gus preferred video games and spending more time by himself." The statement continues: "When he was becoming a teenager, we learned that Gus has a non-verbal learning disorder in addition to an anxiety disorder and ADHD, conditions that millions of Americans also have."]
Itâs a sweet article that makes the attacks that would follow Gusâs display of emotion that much more unacceptable. Anti-LGBTQ activist Terry Schilling of the American Principles Project mocked Gus Walz, writing, âTim Walzâ son Gus wears eyeliner.â Prominent pro-Trump Twitter accounts Dom Lucre, Colin Rugg, and Autism Capital all mocked the 17-year-old. âGet that kid a tampon already,â wrote a right-wing podcaster Alec Lace. Trump ally Mike Crispi called Gus Walz a âbeta bitch.â Right-wing radio host Jay Weber called Gus Walz a âblubbering bitch boy.â Ann Coulter called Gus Walz âweird.â You get the idea.
Right-wing beta losers doing what they do best: insult people.
This time, itâs Gus Walz, the son of Tim Walz.

MAGA Host Pays ULTIMATE PRICE For ATTACKING Tim Walzâs Son
A top MAGA political host on iHeart Radio, Jay Weber, just got pulled off the air after launching a vicious attack on Tim Walzâs disabled son. He got exactly what he deservesâŚ
Conservative radio host Jay Weber is being criticized for remarks about the 17-year-old son of the Minnesota governor Tim Walz.
Anne Coulter and Mike Crispi also faced backlash for criticizing the son of Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.
I Heart Radio host Jay Weber was pulled off the air after calling Tim Walzâs son a âblubbering b---h boyâ in a since deleted post on X. Gus Walz, who has ADHD, a learning disorder, and an anxiety disorder, went viral for his tearful reaction to his fatherâs speech on Aug. 21 at the Democratic National Convention. Weber called Gusâ emotional response âembarrassing for both father and sonâ in his original tweet. He issued a now-deleted apology on X, writing, âI didnât realize the kid was disabled, and have taken the post down.â Critics called on I Heart Radio to fire the Jay Weber Show host. Fellow right-wing media personalities Ann Coulter and Mike Crispi also faced backlash for criticizing Gus. Crispi labeled Gus a âpuffy beta male,â Coulter deleted a tweet in which she responded âTalk about weird...â

Walter Einenkel at Daily Kos:Â
Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin has always been something of a corporate tool.Â
[..]
About one month after the Capitol building was beset upon, vandalized, and law enforcement members were hurt and died, Johnson told right-wing radio host Jay Weber that the insurgency âdidnât seem like an armed insurrection to me.â He went on to basically say that since the group hid their firearms outside of the Capitol building and didnât walk in with muskets and bayonets, this couldn't be classed as an âarmed insurrection.â He followed that up, while in the Senate, by promoting baseless conspiracy theories that MAGA, white supremacists, QAnon extremists, and right-wing militias were not involved in the Jan. 6 insurgency.
On Thursday, Johnson spoke with conservative radio host Joe Pags. Johnson, who has clearly embraced the depths of his dirtbagitude, decided to really elucidate what we all knew he meant when he said the insurrection wasnât an insurrection.
[...]
Johnson was voting the way those people wanted him to vote. He wasnât under any pressure to do anything. The die was cast for old Ronnie, who had weeks before given up even the semblance of integrity in fealty to Donald Trump and his dangerously fake election fraud claims. âThese peopleâ love this country? Â What are they loving about it, exactly? To be very clear, you donât have to love much of anything about anything to be a citizen and have a vote and be afforded your civil rights. But itâs unclear what these MAGA faketriots âlove,â about our country. I mean, I have some ideas and Iâm sure you do too, but Iâm not sure Johnson could tell you a single thing they love about our country besides the words âtroopsâ and âflagâ and âGod,â or something.
But the killer here is this assertion that the people who threw fire extinguishers, who hit, punched, kicked, shoved, and bear-sprayed law enforcement, while also breaking into a federal building and numerous off-limit private spaces in that building, âtruly respect law enforcement, would never do anything to break a lawâ is not simply laughable: Itâs the opposite of true. This is not an opinion. You either âtruly respect law enforcementâ and therefore you listen to law enforcement when law enforcement is being reasonable, and you never, unless provoked or in fear for your own life, attack law enforcement personnel. Especially when there is an abundance of video evidence, physical evidence, and digital evidence illustrating exactly how many laws you did indeed break.
Ron Johnson went on The Joe Pags Show Thursday to embarrass himself further by uttering racist remarks about how the mostly White Capitol Insurrectionists "would never do anything to break a lawâ, while admitting that he may have been concerned if âBlack Lives Matter and antifa protestersâ stormed the Capitol to overturned Trumpâs hypothetical win.Â
From the 03.11.2021 edition of Compass Media Networksâ The Joe Pags Show:
Blatant racism from @RonJohnsonWI here. He says he wasnât worried on 1/6 because the majority-white insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol âlove this country,â but says if they were Black Lives Matter protestors he wouldâve been concerned for his safety. #WISen pic.twitter.com/V3gm4cLw8v

Senate Republican Admits GOP Fears ObamaCare Being Struck Down By Supreme Court (AUDIO)
The Republican Party has been obsessed with killing Obamacare for years, but now they fear their obsession will come back to haunt them should the Supreme Court strike down healthcare subsidies in June.
During an interview with right-wing radio host Jay Weber last week, Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson admittedthat the GOP is now scared of the guaranteed backlash they will face ifâŚ
