Some feed back I have received is that people want me to talk more on here about my transition and the journey I have taken up until this point. I will begin to post my story in pieces, incase someone out there can relate and I can inspire them to be their true self. Transitioning for me began when I stopped lying to myself. I met one of my best friends (who was my best man in my wedding) many years ago. He is FTM as well. He has shown me in more ways than one, that just because you were born in the wrong body, doesn’t mean you are a bad person, Or that you are wrong for these feelings. He has taught me many things over the years, probably without even knowing. I have seen him grow over the years into one of the most amazing men I know. I have had the privilege of watching him grow personally within himself and that has been nothing short of inspirational to me. Unknowingly he was able to help me find my voice. To be able to be vocal with my gender identity and to not be afraid to be my true self. Through his guidance and knowledge, I am now on one of the happiest journeys of my life. I no longer have to lie to myself or anyone else about who I am. He has been a hero to me and I don’t get to tell him that enough. I’ve watched him create FTM Magazine which is a great resource of information for many people who might not have found their voice yet. My journey began when I met this man and I was able to over the years come forward with my gender identity, and start living as my true self. So that is where my journey started, and I’m proud to have a best friend like him.
