I've been thinking a lot about big brother Ethan who survives and runs the Nemesis cabin, and Kai's recent big brother Jason post was giving me more Jasethan thoughts. I love aus where Ethan survives and joins the Argo II so him joining, hating Jason at first because of TA stuff, but then the two of them bonding over wrangling the others.
Jason has always been in charge of other people in stressful, militaristic environments that he let shape him, and Ethan has had a high status but potentially very isolated role in a similar militaristic environment that he became disillusioned with. They should be stressed about trying to keep their team alive and then find each other in quiet moments in the mess hall or smth in the wee hours, exhausted and sleepless, rubbing their temples while leaning over the table, and maybe they don't even say anything to each other, maybe they don't have to, they just look at each other and a bit of camaraderie builds up between them.
Maybe Jason would be worried about a situation and try to be a Praetor about it even though he doesn't like that role and how it distances him from his team, and Ethan would step in to help, asking the others what they think and making it more of a conversation than a briefing, which Jason is grateful for because it makes him feel more like a responsible brother than an overbearing commander. Or maybe during a fight when Ethan is running on fumes and still trying to keep things together, Jason would notice that he's on the end of his tether and step in to take over so that Ethan can have a breather for a moment and fall back into the comfort of doing what someone else tells him.
I just like the idea of them being like tired single parents who join forces while sipping their coffees in silence in the kitchen before everyone else wakes up, a bit of domesticity in the middle of a war.
And Ethan's opinion would probably become more favourable towards Jason as he starts to see him as more of a brotherly type of leader rather than the army commander he fought against during the Titan war.
