Valentine's Day special 2024

Saying Jai west was not a loving boyfriend would be the biggest understatement known to man, Sure he had a problem communicating his feelings and being social in general,it was challenging for him

But now Valentine's Day was coming up, and by coming up, in just a few hours and he didn't know what he was going to do for it, I mean his and lian's first Valentine's day could have gone better

If her “Older brother" and “older sister” didn't decide to barge in because they didn't trust him. but this year it would go exactly to plan...once he thought of one

"You thought of anything yet?" Irey west aka Impulse said as she was sending energy with one of her hands towards a shadow construct of a creature

"Hm?" Jai west aka the surge said as his train of thought was broken "oh uh no...not really I mean, I could take her to a diner in el-" he almost finished

"I meant to take down Blackout, Romeo! We can finish talking about Juliet, later!" Irey replied "look I don't want to spend my Valentine's day passed out. So do something please!" She continued

Jai would look at his hand and see it spark blue, he gained a smug look and walked forward "yeah, I got something" he told his sister who looked confused on what her twin brother was about to do

Jai would keep walking as the shadow creature would raise its hand slowly pushing through Irey's energy Assault, about to crush Jai and leave him in darkness

"TAKE THIS YO-" Jai would yell before his hand stopped sparking blue and he would pull it back and shake it "what the hell" he said before he looked up and saw the hand coming down to him, he shielded his face before a bright flash of electricity came forward

In under a second The villain known as blackout shrunk down as Lights would shined down on him and his monster form would completely disappear

Jai saw what happened as Irey stopped shooting energy and Ran to her twin to make sure he was fine before they would look up after hearing someone clear their throat to see their father, the flash aka Wally West

"It's 5 am..." Wally tiredly sighed as the twins looked at each other and sheepishly smiled

"So what's on your mind?" Wally asked his son as him and Jai sat on a bench in the park, It was better not to stand 1000 feet in the air when you just got work done anyways

Jai would just look down as he looked around the scenery... usually him and his best friend Nikki would sit here just not to talk or anything just decompress

To be fair he was having it hard to decompress either way, he remembered what happened the first Valentine's day when he took Lian to that fancy restaurant

She didn't really care to be fair she was dressed in her regular clothing with the baseball cap just like him wearing His flannel shirt Irey got him and sweatpants

Yeah some people weren't happy about that, but he never understood why? What did he do wrong?, Lian didn't seem to mind...unless she did...and he couldn't notice

"You don't got anything planned don't you?" wally asked before Jai would nod and slump over on the bench, wally would look down and pat his son on the back

"it's just...after last year I just feel like I'm going to screw it up...I don't have anything planned...and I mean she always does. What if I let her down" Jai finally replied getting his thoughts into a somewhat linear thought

Wally would look around "yeah every couple has that...I know yours and lian's isn't exactly like mine and your mother's but-" Wally took a deep breath

"it's all about trust and honesty Jai...That's one of the best things you can do is too be honest...plus maybe she has things planned out" wally finally spoke up

Oh how he was wrong

"I don't got anything planned" Lian finally confessed to Her “brother” and “sister” , Rose Wilson and Grant Emerson and to the rest of the titans including her father

"Knew it, the kid is bad news. Rose get the van" Grant said before Rose would take out a sword, Lian would cringe at the sight. She knew her Sorta siblings wanted the best for her but..

"Okay okay!,Can you people not Kill my boyfriend? Over a mistake I'm making no less" Lian said as she took off her baseball cap her mother gave her

"Just making sure you're safe,Lian" Roy Harper, her father spoke up from where the other titans were

"Roy, you said it yourself you trust him. Is this because of the whole traveler thing?" Donna asked her friend as he would raise his sunglasses and look at her

"uh,I mean I don't really got a problem with it, but Rose and Grant brought up some good po-" Roy almost finished before his friend all looked at him

"okay maybe I'm a bit worried! I don't want her to get heartbroken ya know?" Roy finally confessed before Lian would laugh a bit

"dad..I'll be fine...It's them, I have problems with" Lian said as she pointed at rose and grant who would immediately look away

"What did we do?" Rose asked

-a year ago-

"So uh, what do you think?...I mean I uh..I mean I hope you like it" Jai Suttered jumbling his words here and there

"Jai, I love it...I mean it's not what I really expected but it's great" Lian smiled sitting back as she readjusted her baseball cap trying to keep her cool as she tapped her finger on the table

And out of the corner of her eyes, she would see as Grant and Rose Sat on the table across from them, Grant wearing a fake mustache and red cap as Rose Had a wig on...barley

Lian noticed and tried her best to not get up and throw them out instead she cursed them under her breath, Jai brushed it off not knowing about Grant’s existence at this time, now Lian wish he did

The two kept on going having a nice time, not having to worry about the villain of the week, or having to worry about a future supervillian

They could just be teenagers, a couple, Jai loved her and she loved Jai, that's all they could ever want...but little did they know Grant would Scoot closer and closer to them

Jai would look to his side and see the two towering over, Lian would sigh and finally open up her mouth

"grant, I know that's you" she said calmly as she took a bite of her food

"I'm..I'm uh not grant! I'm..Mario!" Grant exclaimed loudly as some other patrons would look at them "That's right, I'm this person's brother too"

Lian looked on with a blank face just like rose was too, Jai would smile and his face lit up

"Woah your brother is Mario?" Jai asked Confusion but also excitement on his face

"that's why" lian finished explaining to the two as grant would scratch the back of his back and Rose just crossed her arms

"I just don't get wh-" Lian was about to finish before Rose and Grant broke down to tears and fell to their knees…should she ask if they were fine?

"I just miss when you were so tiny Lian!, it's like you grew up in under a second!" Grant cried

"I remember it when I was still taking care of you!, You were so innocent but-" rose was about to finish before Lian put her cap back on

"Hey hey...come on, I understand...I miss being young too..but just know...no matter what we are always family..one way or another" Lian said as she hugged the both of them

"You still don't got a plan don't you?" Grant asked and Lian nodded

It was finally the moment of truth, they spent all morning Worrying about this, as Jai sat on the bench he kept waiting and waiting, tapping his foot nervously

"Hey Dord, are you going to keep me waiting?" Lian laughed and Jai slightly smiled back as she Sat back down, they both sat down there silent

"I'm sorry, I don't have any plans for today!, I completely forgot and I'm so so sorr-" Both of them said in unison before they stopped themselves

"Oh good thank God, for a second there I thought I was the only one" Jai said breathing a sigh of relief and so did Lian who let a large sigh

"Yeah yeah...but I mean...we don't need to have one" she remarked

"I-I mean...yeah you're right...I just thought that-" he was about to finish before Lian would kiss him, they stayed like that before separating

"To be honest, I just want to spend the day with my boyfriend...like any other day" she responded and the two got up, Jai would scoop her up in his arms and run off leaving a trail of electricity behind

As they left blue electricity would spark from behind trees as The traveler and Red Riding hood, red hood for short...stood at the bench

"You were such a dork you know that" Red hood laughed a bit before pulling The travelers Hood down

"I still am, you know." Traveler responded as he and Red hood sat down looking ahead, No matter what they had each other, they always will.

"Happy Valentine's day, Dord"

Like okay putting in some Jai and Lian here, but I'm just imagining them sitting watching a movie and lian tries to make a move by seeing if they share interest and all she can muster up is "sooo...you like any bands?" As nirvana posters are on the wall

Off topic but Jai is a pretty introvert and awkward person too so it's just a pretty awkward date before they both decide to speak up and things finally go well, it would be hilarious

So I'm currently working on a giant JaiLian post, but in the meantime one of my best friends @fastestmanalive333 (he draws some other stuff you can check his account) drew me some Jai/Lian fanart and before anyone asks

Yes it's based off two frames from JJK And yes I ship gojo and utahime and yes I ship them as much as I do JaiLian
