headcanon: jem talks a lot like eir father, particularly in how ey weights 'l' sounds like 'awright' and 'awready'. obviously eir mother always urged jem to be careful with eir pronunciation and grammar, but ey never seemed to care nor learn. after eir father died, however, ey made a valiant effort, but quickly relapsed into eir normal speech and never stopped.

okay ive been thinking a bit about jem things, regarding sexuality
pretty much sex repulsed but not asexual - does get urges and attractions and stuff, but is super super uncomfortable with them
cannot wrap head around the general idea of prostitution? results in looking down on the enslaved. jem cant really fathom being comfortable enough in your own body and with sex to yknow. sell it.
