It’s not a complete no, but actually, I ship Raphie more than either of these. I guess Jafal was a little reciprocated. So perhaps I’d consider Jafal. I think they’d look good with a harsh, high contrast, limited color scheme.

Hmm I don't really have a favorite. But maybe, Jafal because I got into SGE when I first read Rise. So, that made me attached to them because I was introduced to them first! I find their dynamic interesting and I seriously did not like how Soman completely robbed us about them in Fall.

Some of these are not new, only because I haven't been able to come up with anything recently:

I'm pretty sure someone has the same headcanon as mine on this one, though I'm not sure where I've seen it, but it's a headcanon that Rafal sometimes sleeps with absolutely nothing—pillows, mattress, nor blankets—and just sleeps on the cold floor as a part of his Evil image/training.

I have a feeling people don't take Kyma very seriously sometimes because of her height, as she's said to be very short, so she wears really high heels just so people can do otherwise. :(

In modern AU, i think Kyma would be a great teacher/counsellor, and she'd be absolutely loved. Also I think she would join humanitarian campaigns or perhaps host them since she comes from a really wealthy family and is able to provide.

Rafal enjoys singing and writing lyrics in his free time, or if he's bored enough. Like guys come on he wrote a literal diss track of Vulcan and it was actually fire.

In modern AU or if he was never a Schoolmaster, I think Rafal would at least play an instrument like violin or piano.

I'm actually not sure if this is canon or not (I rlly need to reread the books) But James has THICK eyebrows (I've been drawing his eyebrows thicker than before and it's SO fun)

Rhian experienced sleep paralysis and it had only gotten better after he became a schoolmaster.

Rhian used to wear glasses. He would read storybooks in the dim light every time he couldn't sleep, and that made his vision terrible. Then his eyes were magically repaired right after becoming a schoolmaster so he didn't need them glasses anymore!

I mentioned this in someone else's post: James has the silkiest, healthiest hair EVER. He has a step by step hair care routine that he gatekeeps. Gets really cranky and irritable when he goes on a day without washing his hair. (I mean who wouldn't??)

Rafal wouldn't care much about cats as much as he cares for birds, but cats LOVE him. Anyway I doubt Rafal is immune to a cat's cuteness and fluffiness. 🐈‍⬛

Rhian wishes to get an ear piercing but it'll just end up with the pierce hole magically healing and reverting his earlobe into its normal shape. (Does this make sense? Pls tell me)

There are some days when Rhian and Rafal match pyjamas for fun! Totally not Rhian's idea and Rafal wasn't forced to do this!

This is a Jafal headcanon: They'd hang out at the beach sometimes and collect stones and shells together. I feel like James would turn the collection into something like jewellery and give them to Rafal. (James would probably be hesitant and embarrassed to give it ..... The same way Rafal would be feeling flustered about receiving a gift from a friend for the first time in his loser life.)

Another Jafal headcanon that's quite related: James goes on a treasure hunt because that's what pirates do I guess. He sometimes gives at least one treasure that he found to Rafal. :3

ANOTHER ONE: In modern AU they have those stone necklaces that match each other's eye colour. This headcanon means a lot to me huhu
